Thank you for all your help so far! I’m hoping we’ve narrowed things down enough for this to be my last post so I’ll stop bugging you lol.
We’ve decided it’s between two names for our son - [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] & [name_m]Quentin[/name_m].
We will pair [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] with [name_f]Margot[/name_f] if we decide to go with it. We love these names but we do have a [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], who goes by [name_u]Theo[/name_u] 99.9% of the time. The matching endings between [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] do bother me a bit but [name_f]Margot[/name_f] will no doubt get a nickname too.
We racked our brains and the only other boy name we love as much as [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] is [name_m]Quentin[/name_m], which ticks all our boxes and also works well with all the girl’s names we couldn’t use with [name_m]Zachary[/name_m].
Which of these three do you think works best with [name_m]Quentin[/name_m]; [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]?

I personally prefer the combo [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], though I can’t figure out the reason why. Next choice would be [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f].

We’ve realised that Kwen and [name_u]Pen[/name_u] rhyme with [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] & [name_f]Margo[/name_f] are characters in the book/film, Paper Towns and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is the main character in [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] [name_m]Tarantino[/name_m]’s Kill [name_m]Bill[/name_m] films so it left us with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] that didn’t have some sort of connection with [name_m]Quentin[/name_m].
… Or so we hope! Otherwise we’re pretty screwed lol.
Ooh, I love [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_m]Quentin[/name_m], and think those both go well with [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] + [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] + [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] gets my vote.

I love [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] together! I think they make a perfect twin set with subtle shared sounds and emphases and avoid any unintended pop culture references unlike your other possible pairs. I also like each name with [name_u]Theo/name_u. Neither [name_m]Quentin[/name_m] nor [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] naturally lend themselves to a nickname, in my mind, but I don’t think that’s a downside in either case!
