I feel like we’re friends now after all the lovely help you have all provided along the way! <3 So I am pretty sure I’ve narrowed our list of four final names down to two! Yay! Progress! LOL! A quick refresh, my daughters’ names are Viviana Rose and Carina Iris. Both girls have names that are really meaningful for their personal stories. I have my heart set on another name that sounds well with these two and I’d like to keep a botanical or floral middle name. The thing is when it comes to the middle name I want it to also sound like a name, not too garden-y, if that makes sense. Our last name begins with an L so names like “Lilly” are out it’s too much L, which is a shame, I adore Lilly! My two final names are:
Viviana Rose, Carina Iris and Celia Violet Celia means “heavenly” which is true to her personal story which I love. I like how they sound together too. I occasionally worry that they begin with the same letter although they do sound different to the ear and won’t be written next to each other except in cards, so not a total deal breaker.
Viviana Rose, Carina Iris and Eloise ___? Eloise means “healthy” which is nice but not particularly attached to her personal story. But it is a beautiful name and they sound nice together. We can’t do Violet or her initials are EVL which looks to close to evil. But not sure what other middle to choose. So for now stuck on what in the world we’d pick. I almost went with Eloise Marigold, but Marigold has some positive and some negative associations and I didn’t like the idea of picking something with negative associations so that name went out the window. Open to new ideas!
So my Berry friends. Which are you loving and do you have any middle ideas for Eloise? Thank you for the help!!
I love [name_f]Celia[/name_f] with your other girl’s names, but I also like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. I feel like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] goes better because it ends in an “a” like the other 2.
Other suggestions for [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]:
[name_f]Azalea[/name_f]
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Blossom[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is so pretty!
I like the previous suggestions of [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
I absolutely adore [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f], especially with your sibset! If you decide to go with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], I like the suggestion of [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f].
I adore [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! [name_f]Celia[/name_f] is such a simple yet elegant name, it deserves more love and more use. I also think it ages better than [name_u]Eloise[/name_u].
Normally I’d think [name_f]Celia[/name_f] and [name_f]Carina[/name_f] are too close, but since the C’s are pronounced differently, I don’t think they are at all.
I think [name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is best for you because of the meaning and the -a ending. If you go with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] I like [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] in the middle. I do also love [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f] with your other daughters, and [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would be cute.
What about [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]? That was what popped to mind immediately for me. [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] is a flower like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and also has the connection of being a somewhat unusual color word, also like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f].
[name_f]Celia[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a fine and pretty name, but [name_f]Celia[/name_f] always gives me pause because I can immediately think of 3 ways to pronounce it (seal-yah, cee-lee-uh, and ceh-lee-ah), and chances are whichever guess I went with would not be your preferred pronunciation. Choosing [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] sidesteps that issues, as well as the initial issue.
I vastly prefer [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] to [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. [name_f]Celia[/name_f] seems insubstantial compared to the strength of your daughters’ names. Also, seals are pretty cute, but I still wouldn’t want that to be the prominent syllable of my name It also reminds me of celiac disease. As far as [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] middle names, I love the suggestion of [name_f]Lilac[/name_f].
