Final two names?!

I think we’re down to our final two choices!

We have a Hazel Jane and a Margot Brynn. I’m due in September with a little girl. This is 95% likely our last child. Middle names Lauren or Wren are an honor for a Lawrence.

Isobel Wren - I love this spelling and this combination. I think it feels perfect with our daughters’ names. The only drawback for me is the popularity of Isabelle/Isabel/Isabella/Bella. My husbands maternal grandmothers family immigrated from Scotland, so I absolutely love this spelling.

Astrid Lauren - We came up with Astrid last night. My husband is very Danish/Norwegian/Scottish and I said we should have named a son Magnus or Axel to go with our last name if we had boys. He then wanted to look up Norwegian girls names and he saw Astrid and we both loved the meaning and it was already on my list of names to bring up with him. My only concern is teasing potential.

Any thoughts berries ?? It finally feels like we have a solid top list to decide from!! Thank you for all of your help!!!

I really like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] with your girls’ names. I love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] too but the popularity does put me off a bit.

I can’t really get behind [name_f]Astrid[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]! It goes very well with your daughters names and I love the spelling and meaning behind it. Maybe [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] could work?

I think both are wonderful with your other daughters’ names! However, I prefer [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] with your daughters. [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], to me, feels very light and carefree, where [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] matches your daughters in being more grounded, elegant, and vintage. An [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] would, in my mind, be incredibly sage and mature with a kind heart and an extraordinary grace. I think that’s perfect with your sibset!

I really like [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. It has a similiar sound to your other girls names and I think it matches their names really well. [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] feels a bit unexpected so I don’t like it nearly as much as [name_f]Isobel[/name_f]. Plus it’s so pretty, [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] to me ( although a lovely name) it’s very strong and gives me complete Viking sheildmaiden vibes.

[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] is such a great name — sleek, strong and sophisticated, just like H and M.

[name_f]My[/name_f] slight preference would be for [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], but if that’s not an option I really like [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] too.

[name_f]Isobel[/name_f] is pretty but a bit ubiquitous, it doesn’t hold a candle to strong, distinctive [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] for me :cupid:

Thank you! For whatever reason we both had a hard time saying [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u].

Let me just say that I love this!!! And Hazel Jane brings back old-times names well

Anyways, my vote is torn.:joy:

You can’t go wrong with either as both are beautiful but I think [name_f]Astrid[/name_f] just has the edge for me

Both are beautiful! And I love your older daughter’s names. I’m a Jane Hazel. I think the middle name Wren is my favorite, but the first names are both great! I am leaning slightly toward Isobel, myself. Good Luck!

There’s just something about [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] that I prefer and really love with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]! [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is so beautiful.

I chose [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] just because [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] sounds better than [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Astrid[/name_f]. One of my friends has the [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] spelling and that’s why I also like the spelling. I do prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] over [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] because the [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] spelling visually looks like the word “sobe” caged between 2 walls. Also my friend [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] has said people will pronounce her name “is-oh-bell” instead of “is-uh-bell” just by looking at it. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] still looks cute but I think the shorter [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] goes better with your other daughters names. Only thing that bothers me…Hazel and [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] both end in L and [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] sound similar too. Maybe I’m just overthinking this…but I still love [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] Wren!!

Side note, I’m sad you dropped [name_f]Neve[/name_f] Lauren…it was such a pretty name!
