I would go with [name_u]Auden[/name_u]. Both names are great, but you are correct about [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]'s popularity. [name_u]Auden[/name_u] is a show stopper.
I adore [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], feel neutral about [name_u]Auden[/name_u].
Hmm tough call. I love the meaning and literary association of [name_u]Auden[/name_u], but I think I like it more on paper too. But [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is definitely getting up there in popularity. Still a great name though.
I’ll go with [name_u]Auden[/name_u] because I have a feeling a young [name_u]Auden[/name_u] would like his name and appreciate having a unique name. As long as to you’re not worried about odd jokes. 
I’m dying to know your middle! 
Middle name will be [name_m]Etienne[/name_m]. We’re both [name_m]French[/name_m], although our last name isn’t. It is also my DH’s grandpa’s middle name, who passed away recently. I just don’t want to decide the first name based on how it flows with middle.
Oh didn’t mean to pressure you to share! Sorry about that. That does influence my opinion slightly but I won’t even go there, since that’s not what you’re asking.

I was going to say [name_u]Auden[/name_u], but then I saw your mn and I think [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] fits better-- the -en endings for [name_u]Auden[/name_u] and [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] make it a little to rhyming for me.
I voted [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]! I love the nickname [name_u]Ollie[/name_u].
What about [name_m]Austin[/name_m]?
I love [name_m]Oliver[/name_m]. [name_u]Auden[/name_u] looks pretty, but is “meh” to me when I say it out loud.
