[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] Freder*ck is the easiest to say and the second grounds the first. But [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] more sensitive writer type and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is cheeky and playful.
I like Rupert_ Fel!x the best, followed by Rupert_ Frederick_ second. All are good though - go with your favourite!
I think Rupert_ Fel!x looks so “complete” as a combination.
Thanks so much for your descriptions! You have articuled what I feel about them too. I think I want all those elements, which is where my problem lies ![]()
Thankyou! Yes, I too find that the latter is the most visually appealing and I am really drawn to good written looks. But then, Freder*ck has handsomeness, and Caspi@n a bit of charm.
Rup3rt F3lix for me!
Both names are among my favourites, and the combo sounds so dashing but also a little bit mischievous.
That said, I do like the flow of your longer options because of the different syllable lengths, which I always think sounds slightly better. But with your surname that may not be an issue!
Thankyou! We do have a two syllable surname, and had always said we’d go a three syllable middle…but F3lix is still in there because we have not been able to let him go, he appeals too much.
I voted for [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] C@spian.
While Freder!ck is a classic and I do like it, I actually find it a little too clunky beside [name_m]Rupert[/name_m].
I adore [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] Fel!x and almost chose it, really went back and forth between it and C@spian for a while, but seeing your comment that your surname is also 2 syllables helped me to pick one over the other. It does sound like Fel!x is the hold out favorite though and I definitely understand if that wound up your final choice.
I find [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] clunkier with the first too, though my husband thinks its flows well, so apparently it can be percieved differently.
I’m kind of glad you are torn too, because it makes me realise whichever we choose will be decent. Maybe my heart really is holding onto F3lix the most when you consider that I have a simple reason to choose Caspi@n given our surname? So torn.
Thanks for the help!
I chose Rupert_ [name_f]Fe[/name_f]!ix as it feels more up to date and cool to me. 2nd choice Frederick_ which is the more classic option. I love Rupert_ .
My choice would be Fel!x, followed by C@spian. Both sound great with R u p e r t. (Though if you love Fel!x perhaps save it for another son, if you will have one? - the names sound good as siblings!)
The one I don’t like, in terms of sound, is Freder!ck. To me the -rt at the end of Rupe-rt runs into the -Fr at the beginning of Freder!ck. It sounds clunky when I say it out loud.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps. Best of luck!
Thankyou for your opinion
I think even though the poll is coming out in favour of C@spian, it is clarifying that [name_f]Fe[/name_f]!ix is my favourite too.
Thankyou! You articulate well the sound issue I feel with the Freder*ck option, even though I like the vibe. This is likely our last, so we can splurge on all favourites at once
Big sis is Aureli@ M@rigold and I think maybe [name_f]Fe[/name_f]!ix has some of the happy positive energy of it.
It sounds like this poll really helped you figure it out!
I think that’s one of my favorite things about using these forums. Polls+ feedback can really help clarify things. And it definitely sounds like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is the name you truly want to use.
