Thank you for all the kind words! It took forever for him to agree on names. I like hearing an outsiders opinion as well. My problem is deciding which name would be our front runner.
Oh, story of my life not agreeing on names with my husband. I love [name]Leo[/name]!!
I think I’d have to pick [name]Leon[/name] [name]Rafaele[/name], but maybe spelled [name]Raphael[/name]?
@beatrixdaisy- it is probably the most frustrating thing ever! Especially when you have a combo you are in love with and it is shut down. I love your name list in your signature btw.
I was almost hesitant to use [name]Raphael[/name] spelling because that is the Hebrew form. So I wasn’t sure if that would be crossing a line or not. So I saw they have an Italian form which is [name]Rafaele[/name] or [name]Raffaele[/name].
It’s the worst- “[name]Beatrix[/name]? Are you kidding? No way in hell” hahaha I think its because men arent as into names as women get generally so we hear/read about so many different, unique ones that we get used to it but he’s like, “whats wrong with [name]Jessica[/name] and [name]Lauren[/name]?”
I think the [name]Raphael[/name] spelling works better only because it’s more common and looks more classic. I love Italian spellings for girls but on boys names it can make them look a little feminine. Like the [name]Raffaele[/name] spelling to me makes it look slightly girly, Maybe just [name]Rafael[/name] instead?
Tough choice for me. Of the ‘[name]Leo[/name]’ names [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Leon[/name] I prefer over [name]Leonardo[/name]. [name]Leon[/name] [name]Raphael[/name] and [name]Anton[/name] [name]Leo[/name] are my favorites. [name]Leon[/name] [name]Raphael[/name] sounds mysterious and worldly. [name]Anton[/name] [name]Leo[/name] sounds down-to-earth and friendly. [name]Both[/name] are awesome.
That is the story of my life right now. Which I will cut him some slack since I am the name nerd looking at different combos all the time. When he is flying blind. I already told him our child will not have a common name like the ones you mentioned. No way!
I do like [name]Raphael[/name] spelling I was just nervous people would think it was wrong to use it.
My mother said the same thing when I mentioned Anton Leo she said it sounded off and weird. I do actually like the sound of Anton Raphael! I did not even think to put those two together hahah. Do you think it is okay to use the Raphael spelling which is Hebrew vs the Rafaele which is Italian? Beatrix said the Rafaele looks feminine and not as pleasing to the eye which I can totally see now that I am looking at it.
Thank you! It is always a tough choice but I can see [name]Leonardo[/name] may not be a crowd pleaser. He likes how the name [name]Leonardo[/name] means “strong as a lion” so I guess I will have to keep it on our list.
It is not marked off the list but I am big on flow and after hearing how my mother thought it sounded weird makes me worried. But [name]Leo[/name] is a family name so it is a double edge sword.
[name]How[/name] about [name]Antony[/name] [name]Leonard[/name]? I like [name]Leonard[/name] better than [name]Leon[/name], and [name]Anton[/name] feels incomplete. [name]Even[/name] better would be [name]Anthony[/name] in my opinion.
My favourite from your list is [name]Leonardo[/name] [name]Vaughn[/name], I really like [name]Leonardo[/name] and I don’t get why people aren’t liking it.
I agree with everyone else saying they prefer the [name]Raphael[/name] spelling, on [name]Leon[/name] [name]Raphael[/name], I just think it looks a lot better.
[name]Anton[/name] [name]Leo[/name] sounds incomplete and I almost want to push the two names together, I agree that [name]Anthony[/name] [name]Leonard[/name] would make a great combination.
