After trying for over 2 years, we are pregnant!!!
We don’t know the gender yet, but we have girls names all picked out. However, I don’t really love ANY boy names. I have name styles I like, I have preferences, but I haven’t found any to put in a definite list.
I like names that are uncommon but vaguely familiar. Our daughter is [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I will pick a more common name for the middle name, but I love a name that is soft sounding, short, easy to spell and pronounce on sight, but definitely NOT in the top 100. I live in a location where unusual names are the norm.
Boy names I like but don’t love…
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] (too common right now)
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] (on the fence)
[name_u]Micah[/name_u] (too common)
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] (bad association but I still like the concept of the name)
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u] (too girly?)
[name_u]Shaw[/name_u] (not great with our last name that starts with S)
[name_u]Poe[/name_u] (too trendy)
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] (my fav but does not work with our last name at all)
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] with nn [name_u]Desi[/name_u] (I like it but it doesn’t feel right)
[name_u]Dorian[/name_u]
[name_m]Teo[/name_m] (already have a nephew named [name_m]Leo[/name_m])
[name_u]Rio[/name_u] (maybe too trendy)
Help! I feel like I’ve seen and read every list.
I want it to go well with our daughter [name_f]Nova[/name_f], but it’s so hard! :-?
(P.s. the girl names we have picked out are [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], and [name_f]Juno[/name_f])
