[name_m]Just[/name_m] found out we’re pregnant with baby #4 and I feel like naming them is going to be impossible. Our second and third kids were really difficult to name, and we’ve never had any “runner-up” names to fall back on. I like old-fashioned names, my husband prefers spunky, modern names. Our kids are:
OLIVER
AUGUST
ELIZA
The vowel thing wasn’t on purpose, but I do think it would be better to continue it (not a deal breaker though.
Names he likes that I don’t:
[name_u]Axel[/name_u]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_u]Arrow[/name_u]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_m]Cyprus[/name_m]
Names I like that he doesn’t:
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f]
Starting with vowels that you already used
Boys
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_u]Emmett[/name_u]
[name_u]Asher[/name_u]/Archer/Arthur
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Alec[/name_m]
First I would like to say that I love the that all you children start with vowels. It would be a shame for your youngest child to not continue with the name.
You have A, E, and O
So here are some I names
Boys:
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m]
[name_m]Irving[/name_m]
Girls:
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabella[/name_f]
Girls:
[name_u]Adda[/name_u]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] ( I know he doesn’t like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but I think the Z gives it a more unique, spunky vibe.)
[name_f]Prudence[/name_f] ( Very traditional name, but I think it could make a great choice!)
I love how opposite you and your husband names are ! I have a few suggestion you may like (props on the baby names they flow well together)
Girl List
Uma (A lot of vowel names with I so how about U)
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] (I love the name I feel it would go well with your husbands modern names (nn is [name_f]Kat[/name_f] and your more vintage name choices )
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] (The combo [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] are my favorite it’s so vintage and lovely!)
Isma (A cute modern name that goes well with your theme and both name taste)
Boy List
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] (Your husband loves a lot of A names so maybe you’ll both love these suggestion)
Bartie (I feel it’s vintage enough but getting a comeback)
[name_m]Edwin[/name_m] ([name_m]Feel[/name_m] it’s a better alternative to [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] that maybe too posh)
[name_u]Connor[/name_u] (A wildcard I think it would go nice with your baby name: [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u], and [name_u]Connor[/name_u])
You have a lot of great suggestions here… just saying, you have to go with an “ I” name! Lol- I love your other children’s names and I love this different vowel theme
Good luck!
I think if it’s a girl, we’ll go with an I name. If I can get him to agree to either [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] or [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], I might give him [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] just because. But if it’s a boy, I’m lost. The only I names I like for boys are [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] (unusable because it’s a cousins name) and [name_m]Ingram[/name_m] (which I’m not sure I can sell hubby on.
What about [name_m]Ivar[/name_m] / [name_m]Iver[/name_m] / [name_m]Ivor[/name_m] / [name_m]Ivo[/name_m], or maybe [name_m]Ike[/name_m]? I don’t think those have been suggested here…
If you don’t love any I names for boys, though, then I don’t think using a non-vowel name (or repeating A, E or O) is a big deal.
