Finding it hard to pick a second boys name...

My husband and I are currently trying for baby no. 2 so this is a bit preemptive, but we haven’t been able to decide on another boys name at all!

We already have a son named [name]Reuben[/name] and the struggle is finding a name that goes with his that we both like. My sons middle names are after my husbands grandfather and my Dad (who my son shares his birthday with) so we’ve already agreed on the middle names [name]Joseph[/name], after my grandfather and [name]Edward[/name] after my husbands Dad. [name]Reuben[/name] was such an easy name for us to pick. We knew immediately it was ‘right’ for us and the meaning (first born son) was so apt. We already have a name picked for a girl and have had since we first fell pregnant with my son.

Although we aren’t religious, biblical names feature heavily in our families and we are both lovers of strong, classical names. The choices we have so far are:

[name]Tobias[/name]
[name]Jacob[/name]
[name]Caleb[/name]
[name]Elijah[/name]
[name]Mathias[/name]
[name]Elliot[/name]
[name]Simeon[/name]

I’m grateful for any feedback or new suggestions
[name]Naomi[/name]

I love [name]Reuben[/name]! You’ve got a great list going already and all of those names would go well with [name]Reuben[/name], but here are some more suggestions:
[name]Seth[/name] (I really like this one with [name]Reuben[/name]!)
[name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Gideon[/name]
[name]Sander[/name]
[name]Marshall[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name]

[name]Reuben[/name] is a beautiful name! I love [name]Mathias[/name] as a brother, it’s a lovely name too!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Tobias[/name] (with nn [name]Toby[/name]!) and [name]Mathias[/name]. If [name]Mathias[/name], you must read him the Redwall series, which features a heroic mouse named [name]Mathias[/name] if I remember correctly. [name]Ephraim[/name] is another one I find really handsome, but maybe not strong enough next to [name]Reuben[/name].

My favourites are [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]Tobias[/name]. They are both great names, and are both fabulous with [name]Reuban[/name], but also, they are both 3 syllables, which I think flows better with middle names that are both 2 syllables.

Liking [name]Tobias[/name] as a match.
Also the suggestion of [name]Isaac[/name].
