We’ve been throwing around some names and have a list of things we (I) like, but haven’t found “the one” yet.
If you wouldn’t mind taking a look at the list below and giving your suggestions of ‘categories’ I could explore more or names you think we might like I would really appreciate it! (Our last name starts with R and ends with O)
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] ([name_f]Liv[/name_f], [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]) - Current favorite for both of us
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f])
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] ([name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]) - We won’t pick this but I still love it
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - This doesn’t really fit with our last name but I think it’s so pretty
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] ([name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_f]Char[/name_f]) - DH is a fan, he really likes [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] as a nickname
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] ([name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Stella[/name_f], [name_f]Estie[/name_f]) - I like this one (mostly for the nicknames)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ([name_f]Nellie[/name_f], [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f]) - DH says [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is too traditional
[name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ([name_u]Ruby[/name_u]) - Saw this on here and I absolutely loved it but [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is off the table for us
I’d describe your style as “contemporary vintage” (if that even makes sense, ha!) The names you’ve chosen have an old-fashioned charm, but feel like cool, current choices now. Well-liked or up-and-coming, but not too popular.
Thank you for all the great suggestions, everyone! [name_m]Can[/name_m]’t wait to go through these lists tonight and see if anything stands out. This is so helpful.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are gorgeous! I desperately wanted to name my daughter [name_f]Olive[/name_f] nn [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] but my partner vetoed it. [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is also a great nn for it, and a great name on its own actually. If you both love [name_f]Olive[/name_f] then I’d go with that - otherwise, here are some you might like:
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] list! I especially like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] ([name_f]Addie[/name_f], [name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Lina[/name_f])
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] ([name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f]) - a bit less traditional than [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]?
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] ([name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Gen[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f])
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] (Vee or just [name_f]Vera[/name_f])
[name_f]Annika[/name_f] ([name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_u]Niki[/name_u])
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] ([name_f]Cece[/name_f], [name_m]Cecil[/name_m], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f])
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] ([name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f])
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f] ([name_f]Amie[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f])
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] ([name_f]Viv[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f])
