Considering [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] for our baby boy.
I love the name, but our surname is [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m]. Is that too ffff? We would put a middle name in to break it up - but no one actually uses their middle name so not sure how much that helps! … (maybe [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] for middle name)
Otherwise we will likely call him [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] as a first name (maybe [name_m]Leo[/name_m] for middle name)
I love love the name [name_u]Finlay[/name_u]. I really do think that [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m] is too hard to say though. If it were something like [name_m]Fred[/name_m] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m], it wouldn’t be as bad. But [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m] repeats the ‘f’, ‘l’ & ‘n’ sounds. That being said, [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m] is adorable. It’s a bit more unique than [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] too, & only used for boys. I’m hearing [name_u]Finley[/name_u] on girls a lot…which is meh in my opinion. I digress…[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m] is dashing.
Sorry, it sounds like a tongue-twister to me!
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] Flannagan sounds much better. What about just [name_u]Finn[/name_u]? Or [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Finlo[/name_m], [name_m]Finbar[/name_m], [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], [name_m]Finnick[/name_m].
I am not a huge fan of [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] with [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m]. I agree with the others who said there is way too much going on with all the F, N, and L sounds.
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is much better, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]! Good luck!
I think [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and Flannagan sound a bit awkward together because of the repeated letters. I prefer [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] with your surname.
[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] Flannagan sounds fine and I love the spelling! [name_m]Caspar[/name_m] is okay (Again, love the spelling!) but [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] just has more style to it!
Unfortunately I do have to agree that these names together are a bit of a tongue twister. If I say it out loud I almost say [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]-lee [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m].
I actually really like the names together! It sounds jaunty, fun and like someone special, like someone you’d want to know. Like, “ “Oh, [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m]? I know him; he’s a great guy!” And I could see a man sticking out his hand and saying, “[name_m]Hi[/name_m], [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] [name_m]Flanagan[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] the hell are ya?” Idk, I just think it’s fun!
