All three names ([name]Finn[/name], [name]Finley[/name] and [name]Finnegan[/name]) sound masculine to me. Plus, since [name]Finley[/name] is so popular, she’ll be a girl [name]Finley[/name] in a sea of boy [name]Finn[/name]'s.
I’m slightly obsessed with [name]Finley[/name] for a girl, although DH shot it down. Definitely like [name]Finley[/name] over the more masculine [name]Finnegan[/name].
I agree, [name]Finley[/name] is WAAAYYYY better than [name]Finnegan[/name], but both are masculine to me and there are more feminine fin- names if you like the nickname. [name]Fiona[/name] would work, and there’s also [name]Finula[/name]/[name]Fionnuala[/name], [name]Finola[/name], etc., etc.

i used to teach a finlay (ay) and she always got fin and she was the sweetest little girl ever! so, now i love the name x

I used to only like it on a boy, but I met the sweetest girl named [name]Finley[/name] & now I can only picture it on a girl. Its too feminine for a boy.
