I have son called [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] we are expecting baby #2 in dec which is team yellow, for our boys name we have been loving [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m]…what are your thoughts of [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] as a sib set?
We would most likely be caĺling him [name_u]Finn[/name_u] as a nn most of the time. I am worried though that [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are too matchy matchy?
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] do have similar sounds, however, I think they match really well style wise. Both names are really handsome and sound like they were made to be brothers! I also really like [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Riley[/name_u] together!
I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u], and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m] sounds great. Sure [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are similar, but I don’t think they’re too similar. They are matchy, but at the same time the beginnings are quite different even if they share the ‘i’. I think [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] make an awesome sibset.
I don’t think they’re too matchy matchy. And if you’re gonna call him [name_u]Finn[/name_u], i don’t see any problem. And [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are a great sibset.
I do think the -ley endings are obvious with [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] (would you feel the need to continue that with a third son, or even third child? I don’t think it’s necessary, honestly, to go with [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_m]Brantley[/name_m], or [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] for baby number three, but I think others might make comments that you should… and if you’re going to use [name_u]Finley[/name_u], I think it’s nice to at least see that as a potential reaction people might have?), but if [name_u]Finley[/name_u] would go by [name_u]Finn[/name_u], I think it’s fine. [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are cute together, and I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u]! If you love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and aren’t sure about [name_u]Finley[/name_u], there’s lots of other great options to get to [name_u]Finn[/name_u]–[name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], or even just [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. I think [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and just [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is great, too, although that makes the flow with [name_m]John[/name_m] not so great. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Johannes[/name_m] or [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] are pretty great combos, though, and still could honor a [name_m]John[/name_m].
Not too similar at all. As I have mentioned before, they may be brothers and grouped together during childhood, but they will spend most of their lives living independently in the world. They will not always be introduced together, on the same soccer team, or treated collectively.
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] sound great together! They do share an ending, but I don’t think they’re too matchy to be brothers. The nickname [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is so cute. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m] is very handsome, as well
Thank you so much everyone who took the time to reply! You all got exactly what i meant but still put my mind at ease.
We are in love with finley john and so we are going to stick with that if our bump is blue… thanks again for your help.
