Which do you prefer? How do you say them?
I am so loving this name at the moment. I do prefer the Finnian but I’ve heard Finnian pronouced as Finnan?
i say them pretty much as written! FINN-ee-uhn and FINN-uhn. i prefer finnian - it just looks a little more complete.
Thanks
Exactly how I say them and my thoughts.
I prefer [name_m]Finnian[/name_m], it feels more complete to me!
I pronounce [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] as FINN-ee-in (the last syllable changes between “in” and “uhn”) and [name_m]Finnan[/name_m] as FINN-in.
Makes sense. Thanks
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]. I like it. It is zesty and [name_m]Finnan[/name_m] sounds to me like creamed finnan haddie.
LOVE [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]!
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] flows better for me, [name_m]Finnan[/name_m] ends a bit abruptly. I also like the potential behind nn [name_m]Ian[/name_m], so I’ll go with that.
I say [name_m]Finnan[/name_m] as Fin-ehn and [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] as Fin-ee-uhn.

I prefer the flow and look of [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]!
i prefer finnian, and the first time i read finnan, i actually mis-read it as finnian, so that might be an issue if you did give that to a child
Agree with what rosepip said. [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] is really sweet! [name_m]Finnan[/name_m] looks incomplete to me
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] pronounced Fin-ee-uhn!
I’d pronounce them FINN-ee-un and FINN-un. I prefer [name_m]Finnian[/name_m].
That’s how I pronounce it
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m] by a landslide and I think I pronounce this name the way most of the responders have. Finn-ee-un and Finn-ehn. I mean they’re both nice names, I would just pick [name_m]Finnian[/name_m] if it was my little boy
I agree I much prefer the [name_m]Finnian[/name_m]. It’s nice getting berries views though.
