I’m having the biggest issue picking a name for my first girl. Her middle name will be [name_f]Sally[/name_f], after my grandmother, but I need help for her first name.
I’m stuck between [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] or [name_f]Valentina[/name_f]. I was always dead set on [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], like the holiday, but I’ve grown to love the sound of [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] as well.
Husband and I are both Hispanic, but my family doesn’t stick to traditionally Hispanic names, however his does. So with his family they’ll call her [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] no matter what, but i don’t want that to decide it for me. Please help!
At the end of the day, it’s about the one you love the most, not taking into account what others think!
Personally, I prefer [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]. I don’t know why, but to me it sounds much sweeter than [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], and a bit more sleek and vintage. [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is a bit preppier and trendier to me, not that it’s a bad thing, just not the vibe I personally love in a name.
[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is definitely my favourite it’s beautiful classic it’s gorgeous and I would use this name in a heartbeat. [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f] is beautiful : )
I don’t think “[name_u]Valentine[/name_u] [name_f]Sally[/name_f]” flows nicely (sorry). [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f] flows a bit better.
[name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest a variation of [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f]?
There are also:
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f]
[name_f]Valeria[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f]
Thank you all for the suggestions [name_f]Sally[/name_f] was my grandmother’s name so while it’s no longer common I’m attached to it as a middle name. [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]/[name_f]Valentina[/name_f] is also sentimental but we’ve decided on [name_f]Valentina[/name_f] as it fits a bit more with our Latinx heritage.
