First baby!

[name]Hi[/name], I’m [name]Hayden[/name], and I’m here for some baby naming advice! Life doesn’t always turn out as originally planned, and although I’m only 19, I’m expecting my first child (gender will be a surprise!). I was never a “Name Nerd” (as I’ve seen people here call themselves :] ), so I think combining this with being so young makes it really hard to find names I love. I just don’t really know what kind of names are popular right now (although I have read a bit about ‘trendy names’ - I guess [name]Hayden[/name]'s one of them). My friends love to suggest names, but none of them have really clicked. So, I would [name]LOVE[/name] suggestions!

Here are some names I do like:

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I love [name]Ingrid[/name], but all my friend’s say its an ‘old lady name’. What do you think?
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - pronounced [name]LEE[/name]-la
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - I love the name [name]Poppy[/name], but know that I wouldn’t want to go into college interviews or job interviews with that name, so I think [name]Penelope[/name] is a great full name. Also, I like how [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name] are both flower names, but [name]Lila[/name] isn’t as obvious, so I think it would be cute for sisters.

For the boys,

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - pronounced MAHK-see-moh
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - I think [name]Finlay[/name] is getting trendy or popular, but I really really like it. (I love [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Ingrid[/name], if I have another baby)
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - I just think this name is so cool.

Thanks so much for reading and I would love name ideas!
:] [name]Hayden[/name]

You know, for being new to nameberry, you sure do fit with the style. I’m sure everyone here with love your names. I have to admit, my favorite is [name]Ingrid[/name]. A lot of people say that it is a harsh sounding name, but I really love it. (BTW, on this site, an “old lady” name is a good thing)
Also, I have to say, that sometimes life isn’t ideal, but when you look into your baby’s beautiful eyes, it will all seem worth it. Good luck!

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I like [name]Ingrid[/name], but it is off with [name]Alexa[/name].
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - You will never get the lee-la pronunciation if you are in the States. I don’t like it a lee-la, either. I do, however, [name]LOVE[/name] lye-la.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - I love [name]Penelope[/name], I’m meh on [name]Mei[/name]. I don’t think [name]Lila[/name] is a flower name, but I could be mistaken. I prefer [name]Nell[/name] as a nn over [name]Poppy[/name]. I thnk [name]Poppy[/name] will easily be changed by cruel kids on the playground to poopy.

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - If you’re not in an area where the language calls for accents, don’t use them. IMHO, they are pretnetious. (Unless, of course, you are in an area that speaks a language where they are used. I’m talking native English speaker who lives in Iowa whose family has been in the States for more than 4 generations sort of thing.)
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - [name]Finlay[/name] is ok, [name]Evertt[/name] is not for me. [name]Finley[/name]/Finaly is also starting to see some use on girls, if you care about that at all.
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - I love [name]Rhys[/name], but I can’t get behind [name]Lachlan[/name]. I’ve never really warmed to it.

Ideas:
[name]Audrey[/name]
[name]Susannah[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Lilia[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]
[name]Astrid[/name]
[name]Freya[/name]

[name]Milo[/name]
[name]Stellan[/name]
[name]Theron[/name]
[name]Augustin[/name] (nn [name]Gus[/name]! I love this!)
[name]Leander[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Felix[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Ciaran[/name] (keer-an)
[name]Cillian[/name] (kill-ee-an)
[name]Cian[/name] (kee-in)
[name]Ian[/name]
[name]Ewan[/name]
[name]Emrys[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name]
[name]Lucian[/name]
[name]Marcus[/name]
[name]Caius[/name]

[name]Welcome[/name] to nameberry! And congratulations on your little one on the way, even if he/she was unplanned. I really like most of your names:) Here are my opinions:

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I think [name]Ingrid[/name] is a bit harsh, and not really my style. But i do like the flow of [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name]!

[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - Though i prefer [name]Lila[/name] pronounced Lye-La, [name]Lee[/name]-La is still a pretty pronunciation. However i dislike that there is a “a” sound at the end of the name [name]Lila[/name] and the name [name]Francesca[/name], it makes it sound sort of repetive.

[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] this name. It is so pretty!

For the boys,

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - i really like this name, its very masculine and handsome.

[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - Yes, [name]Finley[/name] is getting more and more popular, however if you love the name, use it! While i think its getting more popular, i dont think you will find yourself surrounded by little [name]Finlay[/name]'s. And [name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name] is extremely handsome.

[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - I love Scottish names, so i love [name]Lachlan[/name]. And i [name]Love[/name] [name]Rhys[/name], i think both are very handsome however im not so sure how i feel about them together. I think it would depend on your last name to determine the flow of the name:)

Overall my top picks for Girl are [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mai[/name] (or [name]May[/name]). And for boy i have to say [name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name]. Good [name]Luck[/name]!

First of all, welcome, my name is [name]Bella[/name], and I think you should consider becoming a professional name nerd!

Here are some names I do like:

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - [name]Ingrid[/name] is not an old lady name! [name]Inga[/name] is a super sweet nn as well. Instead of [name]Alexa[/name], how about [name]Andrine[/name], [name]Alexus[/name], Luxe, or [name]Landry[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - I just want to let you know, I would pronounce this Lye-luh, so I may be a reflection on the population at large. The two ‘uh’ endings might be a problem, essp. if the baby has a conflicting last name. However, I love [name]Francesca[/name]. Instead of [name]Lila[/name] how about- [name]Lilo[/name], [name]Leilani[/name], [name]Lena[/name], [name]Lola[/name], [name]Lulu[/name], [name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Lilly[/name], [name]Lillian[/name], or [name]Leila[/name].
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - I am prn. [name]Mei[/name], ‘[name]Mae[/name]’ is that correct? I love the name penelope, nn poppy! So cute! I would love to know the decision behind [name]Mei[/name], before I make my final decision about how I feel.

For the boys,

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Maximo[/name]! [name]Leif[/name], I don’t personally like, but for this combo, it’s great.
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - I don’t like the flow of this one. [name]Finn[/name] is on the mega-rise. If you don’t want your kid to be ‘one of’ the [name]Finn[/name]'s in his class, I would choose something else.
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - I like that you like this one. The prn. might be hard for some people at first, but if this is the name you choose, don’t give up on everyone, it’s lovely.

Some other names-

Laertes/Laerdes- boy name

Anelique- girl name means [name]Angel[/name]

Congrats and good luck!

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I love [name]Ingrid[/name] also. It might be an old fashioned name but that is what is in style now. Take a look at the US top 100, names like Chalotte, [name]Ava[/name], and [name]Evelyn[/name] are all toping the charts. I would suggest using a different mn though. [name]Alexa[/name] doesnt really flow with [name]Ingrid[/name].
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - You will never get the [name]Lee[/name]-la pronounciation. I pronounce the name Lye-lah, and I believe that is the more common pronounciation. Maybe [name]Leila[/name]?
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - [name]Penelope[/name] is lovely. She would also have the option for the nn [name]Penny[/name], which is cute too.

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name]- [name]Max[/name] is cute but getting popular. I love [name]Maximo[/name], and [name]Maximilian[/name].
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - I love [name]Finley[/name] (prefer this spelling). [name]Finn[/name] is great.
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - [name]Lachlan[/name] is a lovely name, and off your list is it the least common and most distinct.

You have a great list so far! Good luck.

Ohh I like most of the names you’ve picked!

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I think [name]Ingrid[/name] is an awesome name! I love it’s offbeat and quirky “old lady” feel! I really don’t like it with [name]Alexa[/name] though, how about…
[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]May[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Freya[/name]

[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - pronounced [name]LEE[/name]-la - You would have so many pronounciation issues! If you really wanted lee-la maybe just spell it [name]Leela[/name]? I don’t think that is very sophisticated though and reminds of Futurama, haha. [name]Lila[/name] pr. ie-la is cute but popular.

[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - I love [name]Penelope[/name]! And I love the nickname [name]Poppy[/name]! Fabulous name!

For the boys,

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - It’s okay…

[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - I think [name]Finlay[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] are cool names but they are getting pretty popular.

[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this name! I adore [name]Rhys[/name] and really like [name]Lachlan[/name] and I think they’re great together!

[name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Lachlan[/name] have my votes - amazing names! Good luck!

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all your thoughts, suggestions, and kind words! [name]Even[/name] though this baby is unplanned, s/he is definitely not unloved, and I can’t wait to met her/him…I just hope I have a wonderful name picked out in time. :]

Here are some general responses -

I’m glad my style is pretty similar to a lot of people on nameberry! All the better to get opinions and suggestions that match what I like.

A note on the accent on M”ximo: to me, it clarifies the pronunciation. [name]Maximo[/name] could be pronounced [name]MAX[/name]-ee-mo, which I really don’t like. But, I [name]LOVE[/name] the pronunciation MAHKS-ee-mo, with a long ‘a’. I’m hoping to call him [name]Max[/name] most of the time, so this won’t really be an issue…I do see how the accent can be seen as pretentious (I’ve always thought [name]Zo[/name]” was a tad pretentious), but where I live, there are plenty of [name]Jos[/name]”'s and surnames like S”nchez, so I don’t think it will be a problem…

A note on the middle name [name]Mei[/name]: Some of you were wondering why [name]Mei[/name] instead of [name]Mai[/name] or [name]May[/name] (pronounced the same). [name]Mei[/name] or ? means ‘beautiful’ in Mandarin/Chinese. I love languages, and Mandarin has been a passion of mine since middle school. Also, [name]America[/name] in Mandarin is [name]Mei[/name] Guo, so it would also be a subtle tribute to the country I love.

It seems as if the general consensus is that no one will get [name]Leela[/name] from [name]Lila[/name]…I’m still going to keep it on the list, but what about [name]Leila[/name]? (as someone suggested)

Hmmm…I really like [name]Finlay[/name], but so do a lot of other parents, I guess! What about [name]Farley[/name] as an alternative?

Oooh, I like [name]Susannah[/name] from the suggestions - I could totally picture [name]Penelope[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] as sisters…but, I’m not fond of the nicknames [name]Susie[/name] or [name]Annie[/name] so…erg. I also like [name]Juliet[/name]! and I would like [name]Astrid[/name], but The Office sort of ruined that name for me…I also like [name]Charlotte[/name], nn [name]Lottie[/name], but not with a [name]Lila[/name].

I love a lot of the boys!! I knew this was a good place to come for suggestions :]

I know this is long, but its so nice to have some people to lean on for support and advice during this naming process, when, as much as they try, friends and parents aren’t really working out. Soo, if you don’t mind glancing at this slightly longer list of just first names for now…

Girls-
[name]Ingrid[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]
[name]Leila[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name])
[name]Freya[/name]

Boys:
M”ximo ([name]Max[/name])
[name]Finlay[/name] ([name]Finn[/name])
[name]Farley[/name]
[name]Lachlan[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]August[/name] ([name]Gus[/name])
[name]Felix[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name]

THANKS SO MUCH!!!
:] [name]Hayden[/name]

I love love love the name [name]Lila[/name]!!!

When I see [name]Farley[/name] though, all I can think of is [name]Chris[/name] [name]Farley[/name]…

My favorites: [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] & [name]Finley[/name] [name]Everett[/name].

[name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] - I do not find [name]Ingrid[/name] old-lady-ish in the least! I think it is very pretty, and I’m quite partial to using [name]Inga[/name] for short. [name]Alexa[/name] is also pretty, but not quite exotic enough for [name]Ingrid[/name], I think–and [name]Alexa[/name] seems very 90s-baby to me, anyway. [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alessia[/name] would be just gorgeous, though!
[name]Lila[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] - I think [name]Lila[/name] (prn [name]LEE[/name]-lah [; ) is absolutely lovely. [name]Francesca[/name] is also cute, and this name combo balances out very well.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Mei[/name], nn [name]Poppy[/name] - Yay, [name]Poppy[/name]! That’s my all-time favorite nn for [name]Penelope[/name]! [name]Mei[/name] works well, as [name]Penelope[/name] is 4 syllables, although my immediate thought was to use [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Lila[/name]. But if you want to save this for another kid, maybe not…? [name]Just[/name] a note: [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Poppy[/name] sound adorable together. However, [name]Lila[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name], on the other hand, are very different lengths. Maybe think about [name]Penelope[/name] “[name]Poppy[/name]” and [name]Liliana[/name]/[name]Lilias[/name] “[name]Lila[/name]?” I know this probably won’t matter for a pretty long while, I just thought that I should add that.(:

Now let me just say that I love all of your boys names! If not for the name [name]Penelope[/name], I’d be praying that you had one just for the names, haha!

M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] - This name is just: cool. I love every part of it, from granddad [name]Max[/name] to exotic M”ximo to M”ximo’s exotic “”” to [name]Leif[/name] and its Norwegian explorer history (by the by, are you prn this LAYF or LEEF?).
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name], nn [name]Finn[/name] - I like the name [name]Finlay[/name], although you’re right about the possibility of this jumping the charts. You could always use [name]Finnian[/name] or [name]Phineas[/name] instead. [name]Everett[/name] is just…awesome.
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] - “I just think this name is so cool.” I wholeheartedly agree.

NameGoddess

It seems as if the general consensus is that no one will get [name]Leela[/name] from [name]Lila[/name]…I’m still going to keep it on the list, but what about [name]Leila[/name]? (as someone suggested)
The majority of people, including myself, say [name]Leila[/name] as lay-la. A minority say lie-la, the way most English speakers say [name]Lila[/name]. The pronunciation of [name]Leila[/name] often comes up as an issue. Then there’s [name]Laila[/name]. This may be lay-la or lie-la. Some people say it the same as [name]Leila[/name] (whichever way they say that), some say them differently.

[name]Just[/name] reminding you, you’ll have pronunciation issues with the vowels in any of these.

Hello [name]Hayden[/name]! Congratulations. I also was a young mother at 20, and had an unplanned baby named [name]Lila[/name] pronounced [name]LEE[/name]-la. I feel a little connection to you after reading your post hug! Being a young mom has its perks. I have tons of energy and it took no time at all for me to loose the weight. So with the name [name]Lila[/name] I pronounce it [name]Leela[/name] as that is how it is pronounced in spanish, I am half mexican. I considered changing the spelling to [name]Leela[/name], as everyone mispronounces to, but I felt like then it would be misspelled. [name]Lila[/name] gets called: lilly, laila, and lyla. [name]Lila[/name] pronounced [name]Lyla[/name] is soooo popular, thats the main reason I would suggest you dont use it. About you wanting to use an accent I [name]LOVE[/name] that! I have a 3 month old son named Mir” if the accent is not there the pronunciation is completely different.

Girls-
[name]Ingrid[/name]- love
[name]Penelope[/name]- really love nn poppy my fave
[name]Lila[/name]- even though its my daughters name i feel that with so many leila, and lilys it just kind of mixes in the back ground
[name]Leila[/name]- ditto
[name]Ruby[/name]- cute
[name]Juliet[/name]- like prefer juliette
[name]Charlotte[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name])- This name is very very pop
[name]Freya[/name]- I love this one! its super pop in uk but you never here of it here.

Boys:
M”ximo ([name]Max[/name]) love
[name]Finlay[/name] ([name]Finn[/name])- this name is so popular i know at least 5 of each sex
[name]Farley[/name] i also see chris farley what about [name]Farley[/name]
[name]Lachlan[/name]- a little awkward to say
[name]Declan[/name]- sweet
[name]August[/name] ([name]Gus[/name])- i really like this one
[name]Felix[/name]- [name]LOVE[/name]
[name]Sebastian[/name]- I really wanted to use this as a mn [name]Rio[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]. PLEASE use this name it just too good.

You have so many amazing names. HAve you considered [name]Marigold[/name] or magnolia nn [name]Nola[/name] or maggie they are also flower names like [name]Lila[/name] and poppy. I love [name]Max[/name] and sebastian!

[name]Meryl[/name]

Firstly, I have one thing I just need to say:
Are you aware that [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name] is the future queen of Norway?
Being Norwegian I couldn’t help but think about it when I read [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name], and I thought you should be aware of it as well

I personally never liked any [name]Alex[/name]- names, but [name]Alexa[/name] is the one I like the most if I have to like one. (Same with [name]Chris[/name]- names, [name]Christiana[/name] is the only one I can like) [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] would not be my choice then, but [name]Ingrid[/name] is awesome, and I much prefer [name]Ingrid[/name] to the other firstnames you are considering. [name]Lila[/name] is problematic with her pronunciation, and I am a bit tired of [name]Penelope[/name]. I do appreciate the nickname possibilities though, [name]Penny[/name] and [name]Nell[/name] being my favourites which would make excellent all-grown-up alternatives for your [name]Poppy[/name] [name]Francesca[/name] has much love from me, [name]Francesca[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name] would be sisters in my head, but [name]Ingrid[/name] doesn’t fit with them one bit which is sad…

For the boys:
M”ximo [name]Leif[/name] - I love M”ximo, and I completely understand the need to specify it as MAHKS-ee-mo over [name]MAX[/name]-ee-mo. The difference important! [name]Leif[/name] always makes me cringe because I’ve come to know English speakers pronounce it like [name]Leaf[/name] and that’s all wrong considering the Original Scandinavian pronunciation is more like Life. ‘[name]Max[/name] Life’ sounds like a joke. I say if you want the [name]Leaf[/name] pronunciation, spell it [name]Leaf[/name]. It’s a lovely nature name to me, and I love M”ximo [name]Leaf[/name]!
[name]Finlay[/name] [name]Everett[/name] is ok, never liked [name]Finley[/name], and it’s becoming another trendy unisex name and I tend to dislike those. [name]Everett[/name] is good, deserves to be up front if you ask me! Also, if there’s some Scandinavian heritage involved here, [name]Finn[/name] is the epitome of Scandinavian boys names, and is really a better choice altogether if you ask me. [name]Finn[/name] [name]Everett[/name] or [name]Everett[/name] [name]Finn[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are awesome!
[name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] is ok again, but I have no warm feelings for either name. M”ximo or [name]Finn[/name] or [name]Everett[/name] are all better!

For the longer list:
Girls-
[name]Ingrid[/name] - Still my top choice, but with a different middle
[name]Penelope[/name] - Also good
[name]Lila[/name] - Like I said, a bit dull, even [name]Lily[/name] would be better [name]IMO[/name]
[name]Leila[/name] - Is very 80’s where I come from, I just can’t appreciate it!
[name]Ruby[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name], but still behind [name]Ingrid[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name] - Used to love, now I’m more indifferent. [name]Love[/name] the [name]Jules[/name] nickname!
[name]Charlotte[/name] ([name]Lottie[/name]) - Usually dislike, but the [name]Lottie[/name] nickname is the best of all of them!
[name]Freya[/name] - Never liked, but it’s ok.

Boys:
M”ximo ([name]Max[/name]) - Still my top choice!
[name]Finlay[/name] ([name]Finn[/name]) - Prefer just [name]Finn[/name] for you, or [name]Phineas[/name] which I love
[name]Farley[/name] - Try [name]Ferrand[/name]. This one just sounds desperate
[name]Lachlan[/name] - Meh.
[name]Declan[/name] - MUCH better than [name]Lachlan[/name]. [name]Deacon[/name] is also cool!
[name]August[/name] ([name]Gus[/name]) - [name]Love[/name] [name]Augustin[/name], but [name]August[/name] is also nice! Prefer the [name]Augie[/name] nickname
[name]Felix[/name] - Never liked.
[name]Sebastian[/name] - Awesome! [name]Bastian[/name] is also lovely. One of my favourites on your list!

For the girls I would go with [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Ruby[/name], but preferably one of the two first.
My favourites on the boys list are M”ximo, [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Declan[/name], [name]August[/name] and [name]Finn[/name] not far behind. [name]August[/name] would have been top three without the [name]Gus[/name] nickname… I don’t like [name]Gus[/name].

Anyways, best of luck with your surprise! You can’t really go wrong with any of the names, so I’m sure you’ll pick an excellent one! ^^

If you want [name]Lila[/name] pronounced [name]Leela[/name], why not use [name]Lela[/name]? I have a friend with this spelling and that’s how it’s pronounced. Only rarely, when we had substitute teachers, was it prn. layla, but usually they got it right!! [name]Lela[/name] Francesa is absolutely beautiful <3
My runner-up favorite is [name]Penelope[/name] nn [name]Poppy[/name]! Wonderful =) The deal-breaker…is your last name long or short?

As for your boys, M”ximo [name]Leif[/name], nn [name]Max[/name] is splendid. And it deserves the use of “splendid,” in my book! Second up is [name]Finlay[/name], though it’s probably going to get a bit popular.

Congrats =)

My favs: [name]Ingrid[/name] [name]Alexa[/name] & [name]Lachlan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name].

From your revised list my favs are [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Freya[/name],
and [name]Sebastian[/name] or [name]Lachlan[/name] (or [name]Lochlan[/name]) nn [name]Lockie[/name].

What about [name]Susanna[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name]? I think it’s adorable.

Thanks for sharing your story, [name]Hayden[/name]. You sound like an articulate, mature young woman with a very bright future (and a very cool name, by the way!). Having a baby will change your life in many ways–many amazing ways that you will never regret. And remember that the early newborn months are difficult for pretty much everyone, whether we’re 19 or 39…

I adore the name [name]Lila[/name] prn. Lye-la, but agree about the pronunciation difficulties. The suggestion [name]Lela[/name] is a good one, as is the possibility that if you live in a predominantly Hispanic community most people will default to the pronunciation [name]Lee[/name]-la, even if you spell it [name]Lila[/name].

You also might want to consider the name [name]Lilou[/name], which has become a very popular name in [name]France[/name] (but obviously not here). It’s unbelievably cute.

If you like [name]Ingrid[/name] you might like: [name]Isa[/name], [name]Isla[/name], [name]Iris[/name]
Also love [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name].
I’ve met both a boy and girl [name]Lachlan[/name].
My son’s middle name is [name]Everett[/name] and I love it.
[name]Max[/name] is always cute, but incredibly popular. [name]Maximo[/name] is different, though.

All the best!
[name]Amie[/name]
