Hello. I would like to fall in love with a boy name. It just hasn’t happened. Right now, I’m torn between [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] as a middle name, but many are saying it doesn’t go so I’m open to other middle names. I wish I were having twin boys ha ha (then I could name them much easier) Please help me fall in love with a name. Thank you!

[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is an awesome name! In my opinion, [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] doesn’t flow as well–I don’t love the repeated endings. But first and middle names aren’t said together all that often, so I don’t think this would end up being a real problem if you decide to go with [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]–just something to consider.
[name_u]August[/name_u] is one of my favorite names. I love that it feels both cozy and strong, has plenty of history while feeling perfectly at home in 2020, is completely familiar but far from a chart-topper, is easy to say and spell, and has a good meaning (according to Nameberry, it means “great, magnificent.”). Nicknames [name_m]Auggie[/name_m] and [name_u]Gus[/name_u] are icing on the cake!
If I can’t sell you on [name_u]August[/name_u], I love TDFM’s suggestions of [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. Or I wonder if you might like:

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] works very well as a middle for [name_u]August[/name_u] imo, not so much for [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] because of too much repetition of certain sounds.
