[name_m]AH[/name_m]! So after trying for a long while and after a lot of heartache and loss in our family we are finally pregnant again with our 3rd child a GIRL! We have two boys, 7 and 5 - [name_m]Forest[/name_m] [name_m]Kael[/name_m] + [name_u]Cedar[/name_u] [name_m]Dov[/name_m].
I am having THE hardest time with girl names! I’ve had a list on here for YEARS and now that this is actually happening, I feel SO much pressure! So far here are our favs - I’m leaning towards [name_f]Cypress[/name_f], my husband loves [name_f]Yara[/name_f]… any more ideas?

I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] as a first name, sorry. Although apparently there’s a really old and rarely mentioned tradition of planting a [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] tree when a girl is born, so that’s a really cute connection. Also I love [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] but I prefer it on a boy.
[name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] would be sweet as well. Or Skylark [name_f]Yara[/name_f]… Actually you could do Skylark with the nn [name_f]Yara[/name_f], [name_u]Sky[/name_u] or [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. And then a middle name. Skylark [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] is getting a bit too our there for me.
I’d also like to suggest [name_m]Vered[/name_m], just because I’ve always loved it as a name and as it’s Hebrew for [name_f]Rose[/name_f] it’s still got that nature vibe. [name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_m]Vered[/name_m]?
I like [name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], although I think [name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] has more personality. I’m also fond of [name_u]Ariel[/name_u], and you have a nice connection to it. I like [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] best as a middle name.

Since no one has mentioned it, however, I wanted to point out that there is a character on Game of Thrones named [name_f]Yara[/name_f] who is a rather strong, forward, even violent woman (she’s a pirate). If you haven’t seen it, I’d ask around for impressions because I would guess that’s going to be an interesting name to live with. I still really like it! I just thought it is worth a mention.
[name_f]Cypress[/name_f] is nice too, and would fit more strongly with [name_m]Forest[/name_m] and [name_u]Cedar[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] better than [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] alone.
[name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] is fantastic! I do love [name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Cypress[/name_f] as well, the nickname [name_m]Cy[/name_m] just makes me think of a boy, but it is a very pretty name.
[name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] is beautiful, although I do second [name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Cypress[/name_f]. As for suggestions, you seem to have a tree/forest theme going so how about [name_f]Acacia[/name_f]?
What about [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] isn’t on your list but came to mind as an earthy green compliment to your boys.
[name_f]Yara[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] has a similar cadence to [name_m]Forest[/name_m] [name_m]Kael[/name_m] and [name_u]Cedar[/name_u] [name_m]Dov[/name_m] that I think makes the names flow nicely together.

If you like tree and earthy names what about [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] or Embla? Both mean elmtree I believe. Or how about [name_f]Maple[/name_f]? I think that is such a cool name for a little girl! Or maybe a little more flowery like [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f], [name_f]Aster[/name_f] or [name_u]Juniper[/name_u].

So far nicknames have been CyCy and Cysie [name_f]Lark[/name_f] haha.
