What are your first impressions on livienne?
I’m having a hard time picturing it on a person, are they young, old, well educated or a bit tarty.
thank you!
I prefer [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] to Livienne - Livienne sounds a bit too ‘smooshed’ for my tastes. I imagine a Livienne to be a young girl with a carefree, at times reckless, attitude to life.
I’ve never heard this name, and after letting it settle in I think it sounds awkward still and I’m having a hard time envisioning anyone with this name. I agree with the ‘smooshed’ sound comment above.
[name_f]Livia[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] / [name_f]Livinia[/name_f] or [name_f]Livana[/name_f] are other “[name_f]Liv[/name_f]” names that are also quite pretty, or just [name_f]Liv[/name_f]! If it’s the ending you’re drawn to, [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] is quite nice as well.
Livienne has pretty sounds, but I agree with the “smooshed” sound, which makes it sound like it’s trying too hard to be elegant. I much prefer [name_f]Livia[/name_f] or Liviana. I picture a Livienne as being a rich middle-aged woman who doesn’t like children.
Please don’t use it.
It sounds like a joke name or something… like some satirical name.
Part [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], part [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]…part classy [name_m]French[/name_m] name, part trendy smoosh. I don’t know how I feel about it. [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] would be much prettier.
Livienne feels like she could be any age imo. [name_m]Young[/name_m], old, or middle aged. She could be anyone too, I can just as easily imagine a waitress named Livienne and an attorney named Livienne. If you love the name, use it! I don’t feel like a girl named Livienne would be hindered in anyway by her name.
I picture a well-educated [name_m]French[/name_m] girl in her twenties. I don’t like the sound of Livienne, though.
It’s pretty but slightly unfinished. Because I hear part [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], I want to add the O in front every time I say it. Lol. Not sure if Olivienne is any better, it somehow seems whole.
I don’t think I would scrunch my nose up at a person with this name just think it was a cute, nickname name.
Ha! Thank you for the responses. I appreciate the descriptions!
I had heard the name around a few times, but I wasn’t sure if I liked it. I agree with it seeming like a joint name and not a name with history. My husband always says when I look at too many names that almost anything looks appealing.
It could work…think I’d prefer Olivienne.
