Wondering on first impressions on names [name_m]Dean[/name_m] or [name_m]Owen[/name_m]. Helpful if you comment where ur from maybe bc I know location impacts the opinion I’m sure.
Midwest,US. I love both of these names & had them both on my list at various times.
[name_m]Owen[/name_m] is a little more popular but I love the [name_m]Irish[/name_m] heritage and “warrior” meaning.
[name_m]Dean[/name_m] feels rugged, masculine and strong.
[name_m]Awesome[/name_m] names! I am from [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]York[/name_m] if this helps!
[name_m]Dean[/name_m], I obviously think of GIlmore Girls. Small town, a little rustic, but also with some kick!
[name_m]Owen[/name_m], I get [name_f]British[/name_f] vibes from. More elegant and proper, but still a fun, sweet, and cute name.
Both are definitely fantastic choices!
CA, I really like both of these names, but I think I slightly prefer [name_m]Dean[/name_m]. It’s simple and uncommon with a rugged yet modern feel to it
Midwest raised, now east coast USA. They both sound pretty common and fine to me. Nothing spectacularly good or bad IMO.
[name_m]Dean[/name_m] - feels outdoorsy and smart, solid but friendly
[name_m]Owen[/name_m] - slightly cosy but rugged too, sporty, friendly and versatile
(in the UK)
[name_m]Dean[/name_m] - I really don’t like it, I know 2 VERY annoying Deans and I resent the name
[name_m]Owen[/name_m] - not a fan but better than [name_m]Dean[/name_m]
I’m in the UK. [name_m]Dean[/name_m] is dated to me, the youngest Deans I know are in their late 20s/30s. It was kinda common in the 80s/90s here. I like [name_m]Owen[/name_m] though, it’s had steady usage here for a long time! Neither of them are ‘wow’ names to me, but they’re both decent. I prefer [name_m]Owen[/name_m].
[name_m]Dean[/name_m]- dated. [name_m]Owen[/name_m]- really like it
