First & Last name awesome or too much?

Not pregnant yet, but am pondering on a name if i have a DS3. I keep finding myself circling back to the name Cillian. I love it, husband likes it too. No dramas there. Majority of our family is irish, so that is also nice.

Now, my qualm is whether, combined with our surname, it’s too much, or whether it sounds amazing like a superhero haha.

Our surname is Keenan. Thanks :slight_smile:

I can definitely see both sides here. I want to say it leans superhero-awesome but that might just be because I love both names individually :sweat_smile:

[name_m]Cillian[/name_m] is great and I think with your surname, you’d have to be prepared to embrace that it is superhero-esque, that it is catchy and bold

I don’t hate them together. I avoided several names I loved when naming my kids because I thought they clashed, but I’d just use them regardless now. I say go for it since you and your SO both like the name. That’s not always easy to achieve!

[name_m]Cillian[/name_m] [name_u]Keenan[/name_u] is sort of a lot in my opinion but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. (I agree with you, it sounds sort of superheroish). If you love the name go with it!

I have a similar last name and purposely avoided any first name with the K- sound. I have a relative who does have a K first name, with our last name, and I don’t care for the flow.

However, this relative isn’t my child. Her parents loved the name and didn’t mind the flow, so that’s all that matters :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I think [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] is a great name and I really hope you two are able to use it!

I think it will stand out, in a good way! It’s super easy to remember and gets stuck in your head. And I think [name_m]Cillian[/name_m] is great :blue_heart:
