I’m considering the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but I’m worried that it doesn’t flow well with our last name.
We would pronounce [name_f]Clara[/name_f] as “[name_f]Claire[/name_f]-uh” and our last name is pronounced like Fotta (rhymes with lotta”). [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think this sounds good?
I go back and forth, some days I think it sounds okay and other days I don’t like the sound. So I’m asking for your advice - What do you think?
It’s a bit Rhymey for my tastes, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] Fotta, same amount of syllables in both names, both ending in ah. Rhymey isn’t bad though if you like it, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is a lovely name.
Could always use
[name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarinda[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f]
Which all avoid the repeat syllables and are similar, however none of them are quite like [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
It is a bit rhymey, although not so much so as to be unusable. It’s really up to you–how much does a rhymey name bother you? Fwiw, I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] Fotta is lovely! You could think about [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] as well…
