Trying to rework my lists a little looking for names I love rather than ones that feel “meh” to me.
One name that isn’t changing is [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Gawain[/name_m]. It’s a combo both my husband and I love which is a challenging task.
We had [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] as a combo for a while but [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] just feels stale and Hubs is still concerned about the Twilight connection as one of his brothers has a name related to the series.
Some ideas I’ve tossed around to Hubs that have been rejected:
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] Capsian/[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Percival[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (Hubs suggsuggestion. It’s a lot of name)
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] “[name_m]Hank[/name_m]”
[name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Aldrich[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Leif[/name_m] (Hubs suggestion. It just seems like too much adventure in one name)
[name_m]Albert[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Fredrick[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
Any ideas berries? [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is one of the few names we can agree on; I’d hate to toss it because we can’t find a first name for it.
What an awesome name! [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is so adventurous and strong, but so sweet. I love it.
Out of your list, I think that [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is the best.
Also [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Hank[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], it’s spunky and sexy and sounds intellectual.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Leif[/name_m] is fun and interesting but it sounds like a protagonist in a romance novel. Not like a real person, especially not a real life little boy.
I prefer the combinations where [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is used as the first name. If [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is the name you’re certain of, that’s the one I would use as the first. Plus it’s so beautiful! [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is my favorite, but [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] works too. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about the nicknames [name_m]Cas[/name_m] and [name_m]Cash[/name_m]? If you like them, it makes [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] much more accessible as a first name than [name_u]Everett[/name_u]. The only good nickname I can think of for [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is [name_m]Rhett[/name_m]. To me, calling [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] by [name_m]Cas[/name_m], is much more natural. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is a great combo too. Part of me really likes [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Percival[/name_m], but they are two very uncommon names, and a little bit of a mouthful. [name_m]Percival[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] exacerbates this problem. At least when [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is in the first name spot of this combo, [name_m]Cas[/name_m] is an easy and common nickname while the -ian ending fits with certain trends. However, [name_m]Percival[/name_m] is unusual in every sense, so I think it works better as a middle.
Suggestions:
What is you went really simple?
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]/ [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
I have [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] on my short list, so [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] were my first ideas. I love [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Leif[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (this was actually on my list at one point, I think? I think I had [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], and [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] paired together in some variation), [name_u]Everett[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] (not a huge fan of [name_m]Levi[/name_m], but this is brilliant!), and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]!
(Apparently I like one-syllable (and Biblical) names with [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], lol.) I love the suggestions of [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], too!
Not a fan of:
[name_m]Percival[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] “[name_m]Hank[/name_m]” (I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] but am not fond of [name_m]Hank[/name_m])
[name_m]Aldrich[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
[name_m]Albert[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]
