I’d like to use [name_f]Nara[/name_f] (pr. NAIRah) as a middle name since it was my great-grandmother’s maiden name. I think it’s a very nice name to use but I don’t like it quite enough for a first name.
I’m having trouble finding a first name that sounds nice with [name_f]Nara[/name_f] as the middle. Most girls names I like happen to end in a/ah, so they sound funny with the double ending.
Some names I like, but I don’t think work:
[name_f]Alana[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]-- dad vetoed
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]-- *
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]-- dad says too masculine
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]-- **
[name_f]Elsa[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]-- *
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]-- still not sure on this one but it’s growing on me
[name_u]Kiley[/name_u]/[name_f]Kylie[/name_f]-- too popular
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_u]Zola[/name_u]
**I love [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], but [name_f]Nara[/name_f] doesn’t feel feminine enough to offset it. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is one of my favorites but I’d really like to use my great grandmother’s name
*I also like [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_u]Harper[/name_u] a lot but they seem to have a similar issue, and their growing popularity bothers me a bit as well.
Dad likes [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] and [name_f]Delta[/name_f]…but neither of those are my style.
Any ideas?
