My husband wants to honor his favorite poet, [name]Seamus[/name] Heaney, by using the name [name]Seamus[/name] for our child. I have to say it’s not my favorite name, but I love my husband, so I’d like to use [name]Seamus[/name] as a middle name. We have had [name]Liam[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] in mind for a first name, but I don’t like the sound of [name]Simon[/name] [name]Seamus[/name], and I’d rather avoid having the all-Irish name [name]Liam[/name] [name]Seamus[/name], since my husband does have some Irish heritage, but we. Our last name is Colyott, pronounced collie (like the dog)-ott. Any ideas for names that sound nice in front of [name]Seamus[/name] Colyott? Thanks for your help!

I’m not sure what kind of names you like so this list is kind of all over the place. Are any of these what you’re looking for?
Thanks, entangler! [name]Gavin[/name] is my favorite of your suggestions, and I will definitely put it in the running. I also like [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name]. [name]Wyatt[/name], [name]Garrett[/name], and [name]Emmett[/name] are cute, but a little too “cowboy” for our family. We are more the hanging around in the bookstore type than the outdoorsy type. I guess I like names that are a little unusual, but still simple and traditional.
[name]Liam[/name] [name]Seamus[/name] is really cute.

This is a bit nerdy and something only a nameberry would probably notice or care about, but Gavin Seamus Colyott doesn’t have any repetitive sounds unless you count the S sounds in Seamus. IMO it’s the perfect mix!
I think I just really like the -n sound before Seamus. Another name that comes to my mind that fits that is Theron.
