First Name Help!

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband to be loves the name [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m] and it has significant meaning to him and his family, so he is adamant that we use it for our son. I’m not crazy over the idea, but I’ve finally convinced him to move it to the middle name spot; however, I have to find the PERFECT first name in order to do that.

I want a name that isn’t too hard to spell or pronounce, and I need some help! Here’s an idea of my name style:

[name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m]
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_u]Noah[/name_u]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Beau[/name_m]

Please, please help me!

Of these, my favorite would be [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Theo[/name_u] instead of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]? 3-3 syllables doesnt have the best flow…

[name_m]Caleb[/name_m] [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m] is the first name that comes to mind.
BTW, I think [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m] is cool and unusual- in a good way! It sounds super masculine and strong, and it is a classical, well-known name with a vast history of use. It comes across as exotic, slightly affluent, and well-educated. Maybe these thoughts can help you warm up to it- at least as a middle name?

Other ideas:
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]

[name_u]Micah[/name_u]
[name_m]Judas[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
[name_m]Darius[/name_m]
[name_m]Scott[/name_m]
[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_m]Kellan[/name_m]
[name_m]Isaiah[/name_m]
[name_m]Mordecai[/name_m]

From the list of names you gave as inspiration I actually really like [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], and [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] with [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m].

From my list my top three are [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m] [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m], and [name_m]Darius[/name_m] [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m].

[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_m]Boaz[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]

I came across your post because I decided to search my son’s name. I have a [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m]/[name_m]Vlad[/name_m]/Vladie/[name_m]Volodya[/name_m] (if anybody uses the [name_m]Vova[/name_m] nickname I reserve the right to throat punch them).
While I already have opinions about how awesome [name_m]Vladimir[/name_m] is as first name, that is not really helpful. What does help is really understanding your husband’s taste.
Does he like trendy? -then [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] could be perfect
Does he like traditional? -then [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] could be great

For most couples this compromising on names thing is difficult. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband would have given our kids vanilla names like [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Mike[/name_m]. I would have given them awesome-sauce names like [name_m]Stanislav[/name_m] and [name_m]Erasmus[/name_m]. We both kind of got what we wanted and what we didn’t want.
The biggest thing that helped this negotiation was knowing my husband’s love of sports. I let him think our kids are named after athletes. Or perhaps he lets me think they are named after authors . . . .
