First name - Lillian, Vivian, or Eloise

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! I am due in a week, and am so torn between these three names: [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is our first baby!

I adore/love all three. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] being my favorite.

[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Lilian[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]

All lovely, I can see why you’re torn! I think [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is my fave - I love how bouncy and lively it is, and I love [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] for a nickname. But [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a close second.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is very pretty and sophisticated but she’s likely to end up as [name_f]Lilly[/name_f], which is nice enough but extremely common where I live.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] would be my pick from those.

Move vote for [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].

I like all three. My preference would be [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].

For what it’s worth, I’m a [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] and I’ve never been called [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. Sometimes people start calling me [name_f]Lily[/name_f] but for some reason it never sticks. I did go by another nickname in childhood though.

We have a [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. There has been a [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] or both in all of [name_f]Lilla[/name_f]'s classes, camps, and playgroups.
I vote for [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] or [name_u]Eloise[/name_u].

Also worth mentioning if you plan on having more children I wouldn’t name sisters [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_f]Lilian[/name_f] because they are so matchy so I would pick your favorite between those 2. [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] are perfect as sisters as are [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] gets my vote! I hear [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] a lot where I live, and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] just doesn’t quite compare to [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] for me.

I would go with [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], though I prefer the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling.

I like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. It’s a bit more distinctive in my opinion.

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u], so vivacious

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is far and away my favorite, although I do like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] for the nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is gorgeous, too, unless you have another middle in mind?

I love all 3! I think I lean more towards [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] currently, but I could switch to [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] tomorrow.

[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] by far. Second place would probably be [name_f]Lillian[/name_f].

I really like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]! It’s such a bright, cheery name that is as feminine and classic as [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].

[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is one of my all-time favorites, but [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a great choice as well! I don’t dislike [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] (and the nickname [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is nice), but it’s so popular that it doesn’t really stand out the way [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] do.

I love [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. Second choice for me would be [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], although I prefer the spelling [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].

All are wonderful names. My first pick would be [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] but I’ve always had a love for [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilly[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] feels super classic to me.

All 3 are lovely names and they are timeless without being trendy. Though it"s difficult to pick just one, I might choose [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Lilli[/name_f], maybe. Great job and good luck!

Definitely a tough choice …

1st place goes to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
2nd place [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
