My SO and I have been talking about names for future kids. He loves [name_m]Gunner[/name_m] and it means something to him as that was his rank or title (or something?) when he was in the army.
I strongly dislike [name_m]Gunner[/name_m] and said that I’d be willing to use it as a middle name. Some of my favourite names ([name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], etc) won’t work. So I’m looking for first name suggestions so I can end this convo and have us agree.
We have agreed that we like [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] (middle name is an honour name) so it’d be nice to both agree on a boys name!
[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: He dislikes my taste in boys names and thinks they aren’t “manly enough”. I hate that as I am someone who thinks in a spectrum scale and not black and white.
Looking at your signature I think [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Arlo[/name_u], [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_u]Elias[/name_u], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] work with [name_m]Gunner[/name_m].
[name_m]Gunner[/name_m]'s not that unusual… it’s a traditional scandinavian name, I think. Similar to [name_m]Gunther[/name_m]. (I knew a [name_m]Gunther[/name_m] once, nice guy.)
Now I’m thinking maybe a one-syllable first name to go with [name_m]Gunner[/name_m]:
Or maybe two-syllable first names that are easy to shorten to a one-syllable nickname:
[name_m]Lukas[/name_m]
[name_m]Jonas[/name_m]
[name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_m]Alec[/name_m]
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
[name_m]Caden[/name_m] ([name_u]Cade[/name_u])
[name_m]Kieren[/name_m] ([name_m]Kier[/name_m])
