First.name with tricky last name

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m pregnant with my 4th, but have a tricky last name, Katz. We’re team green and I’d love thoughts on our current girl list. Siblings are [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] ( usually called [name_m]Eli[/name_m]), [name_f]Cadence[/name_f] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. I love names with special meanings to us.

[name_f]Holly[/name_f] ( we love [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] and had a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] themed wedding and the songs with " holly" in them)
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] ( love the meaning and the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] character)
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] (the season, Thanksgiving and getting ready for [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], plus our wedding was in [name_u]November[/name_u])
[name_u]Winter[/name_u] ( love the season, snow, cozy days, etc)
Raewyn ( love that it’s unusual, and have seen alternative meaning of " white doe" which reminds me of our favorite hiking spot where we got engaged and also has a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] tie in, and our family are huge fans)

[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!!

Out of your list I especially love [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Raewyn Katz would be stunning! [name_f]Holly[/name_f] Raewyn is my second choice. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Hollis[/name_u] would be darling as well.

My only caution would be that [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] & [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (as sisters) would create a strong [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] theme. Also, [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] might be a bit much for one combo.

I hope this was helpful. Good luck

With [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_f]Candace[/name_f], and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], I would avoid something outwardly-seasonal because it may come across that you decided on a theme starting with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], leaving out the other two. My pick is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]; I think it ties in nicely with your other kids while still having meaning to you.

I think [name_f]Holly[/name_f] fits best with your other little girls (and I love [name_u]Christmas[/name_u], too, so I’m a little biased). My other favorite is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], because it’s sweet like your other names. I just dint feel like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_u]Winter[/name_u], or Raewyn flow as well with her siblings.
I’m so a huge [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] fan, so if you wanted some other subtle HP references, you might try
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] ([name_u]Abbott[/name_u])
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] (Weasley)
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (Clearwater)
[name_f]Ariana[/name_f] (Dumbledore)

But your names are equally wonderful!

Wow, I’ve never heard of Raewyn but that’s certainly a cool name! My only hesitation is that it sounds a bit like a mispronounced [name_u]Raven[/name_u]. Otherwise I really like it.

I actually like all of your options. I think both [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_u]Winter[/name_u] are really cool name ideas that fit your style and are a bit more unconventional. I like [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] too, and they both fit with the other names. (Although [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] & [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] & [name_u]Winter[/name_u] being siblings is a bit obviously themed.)

Ideas:
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (favorite based on meaning and flow)
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] Raewyn (prettiest sound)
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (a bit much together possibly but I also like it)
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]

[name_f]Holly[/name_f] gets my vote!

Thanks for your reply; [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] actually used to be a front-runner until I realized at some point, names get listed last name, first initial and she’d be Katz, P.!!!

Too bad we don’t love near each other; I think we’d be friends!:

Ideas:
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (favorite based on meaning and flow)
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] Raewyn (prettiest sound)
[name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] (a bit much together possibly but I also like it)
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f][/QUOTE]

Silversky109, I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the combos you gave me, all of them! Thank you!

You’re very welcome! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] you liked my suggestions

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] are my favorite with your last name. I think both flow well and sound good with the siblings’ names.

You already have the connection to winter/holly/[name_u]Christmas[/name_u] with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] so [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], both of which I love. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] or [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

My favorite on your list is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I love the name, and I love that character.

I’d say you already have a nod to [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] with [name_f]Noelle[/name_f], so I’d skip both [name_u]Winter[/name_u] and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and focus in a unique direction for this baby.

Autumn is a pretty name, but going by your realization of Katz, P., I’ll just point out Katz, A. More subtle; little kids won’t catch it the way teens or adults would, so any eyebrow-raising would be held off for awhile. It’d be great in the middle spot, adding the weight of meaning to whichever first you choose.

Raewyn is not my style, but I love an HP connection. What about [name_f]Luna[/name_f]? She was awesome, and it has a nature connection. Not the Patronus or your hiking spot, but still a great name and a great namesake. It combines what I like best in your list: [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], HP, and the beauty of nature.

Otherwise, I’d suggest [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Raewyn or Lucy Autumn.

I would suggest going with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. The other names, while nice one their own, combine with your last named to create a lot of images of kittens in [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] or [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] scenes. Those type of names might be cute for a little girl, but as she grows older and begins trying to find a job, people might not take her seriously. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], on the other hand is a solid, stand alone name that doesn’t create any specific images and can wear well as she grows up.

(I thought about this a lot when naming my daughter since I also have a very tricky last name: [name_m]Graves[/name_m]. There are so many seemingly innocent names that become very morbid with [name_m]Graves[/name_m] attached behind it–[name_u]Robin[/name_u] being the worst offender I found).

I like [name_f]Holly[/name_f] Katz.
