love the shout out to the rose names! might i second rosalie? a lovely way to lengthen ‘rose’ in my opinion! to me, ruthie isn’t quite as wearable on an adult, so personally i wouldn’t choose it. however, for a young girl i think it’s so sweet 🌷 ---

And you don’t often hear it as a first name [name\_f]Rosemary[/name\_f]- also very pretty although I don’t love it as much as rose but it is a great name! [name\_f]Louisa[/name\_f]- very pretty and classic. I like that it’s unique as well. I know a girl named [name\_f]Louisa[/name\_f] who goes by [name\_u]Louie[/name\_u] which I think is really cute! [name\_f]Susannah[/name\_f]- not my favorite. I don’t think people would call her sue or [name\_f]Susie[/name\_f] unless she said she went by that. [name\_f]Ruth[/name\_f]- love love love it!! Mostly cause I love [name\_f]Ruthie[/name\_f] as a nn it so cute pretty and timeless! What you said about it being simple yet strong I agree with 100%. I love Rosemary! Plus it’s got the perfect nickname! Susannah will definitely get shortened to nicknames. Can I suggest Savannah? I also love Ruth, and Ruthie is adorable! Thank you all for taking the time to respond with such great feedback and wonderful suggestions! It was so nice to read all your beautiful suggestions! I think our front runners as of right now are [name\_f]Rose[/name\_f], [name\_f]Rosemary[/name\_f], and [name\_f]Ruth[/name\_f]. While I love [name\_f]Louisa[/name\_f], my husband just isn’t a fan so I’m removing it from the list (but secretly hoping he changes his mind throughout my pregnancy!). I’m still on the fence about [name\_f]Susannah[/name\_f] and all her nicknames, but will keep it on the list for now. We discussed more options today and have added the following two names to our girls list: [name\_f]Mabel[/name\_f] - I love how sweet and spunky this name is! I feel like it has sweet vintage charm but also has some gumption to it! I could imagine calling her “Able Mabel”! [name\_f]Clara[/name\_f] - This is such a beautiful, elegant name and I love the connection to The Nutcracker. [name\_f]My[/name\_f] only concern is that I feel like I’ve heard the name [name\_f]Claire[/name\_f] a lot and I wonder if Claire/Clara is getting a little too trendy?
