First reaction please!

[name_f]ARaluen[/name_f] (the second a sound sort of drops away when you say it quickly). What’s your first instinct hearing this name?
good? bad? indifferent?

[name_f]Honesty[/name_f] please!

First instinct? It seems like a name of a fairytale city. A la Arendelle.

Reminds me of frozen.

Feels a bit like a mashup. [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Luna[/name_f]?

[name_f]Araluen[/name_f] is an actual Aboriginal name.
I love it! It feels like [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] but cooler ([name_f]IMO[/name_f]).

It’s not that easy to pronounce. At least, to me. That was my first impression.

I had to stop to think about how it would be pronounced for a few seconds, so because of that I don’t really like it. It is a beautiful name though.

I love it- it’s actually the name of one of my protagonists  It has a super pretty meaning too

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] - I’m Australian, and love to see Australian names getting broader usage. [name_f]Araluen[/name_f] has a ephemeral, magical feel and sound to it, and it has such a pretty meaning. Go for it!!!

I have thought about it for a while after it was suggested to me (I can’t remember by whom, sorry) and I kind of like it, but I feel like it sounds more place name than people name, and I’m not sure how well it would translate. I do like the sound though, and I’d probably be converted if I heard it on an actual person.

[name_m]Ranger[/name_m]'s Apprentice. [name_f]Fantasy[/name_f] name/word. Not a name for a baby… and it is hard for most people to pronounce. I don’t think it is a good idea. Sorry.

[name_f]Fantasy[/name_f] novel name

I think it’s beautiful. I had never heard it before, so I think an explanation might be required upon first meetings, but it’s very melodic and has a lovely meaning.
