First time mom- suggestions and feedback appreciated!

[name]Hi[/name] all,
I’m a first time mom, baby name lover, and due in about 5 months. I have a list of names that I have loved for a while now. I would appreciate any other suggestions that you can make based on my list. Feedback on these names are also welcome. While I don’t need a unique name, my concern is still that a lot of these names are rising in popularity. I just don’t want 5 of the same children with the same name in my child’s class! Or maybe these names are just popular for Berries??? I think that my style is somewhat vintage mixed with classic mixed with a little trendy.

Here they are:

Girls:
[name]Harlow[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Finley[/name]

Also liking (but not as much as above): [name]Adley[/name], [name]Camden[/name], [name]London[/name], [name]Ashton[/name], Aubryn, [name]Emmett[/name], Audyn

Boys:
[name]Everett[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Weston[/name]

Also liking (but not as much as above): [name]River[/name] (my husband thinks this is too “out there”), [name]Pierce[/name], [name]Austen[/name], [name]Bridger[/name]

Any other suggestions and/or your feedback is appreciated!!!

[name]Tara[/name]

Girls:
[name]Harlow[/name]- It is okay, this to me is really trendy lately because of all the celebrities using it for their children
[name]Hazel[/name]- I like this name a lot more compared to [name]Harlow[/name], it gives me an image of a vintage type woman who is pretty and classy
[name]Harper[/name]- Same as [name]Harlow[/name], it is too trendy right now for me but a lot of people don’t care about that.
[name]Olive[/name]- I don’t think this is popular at all outside of nameberry. If you like it, you can be one of the first to use it before it gets popular (if it does). It is pretty, but it always seemed too short and abrupt for my liking.
[name]Scarlett[/name]- This is really pretty because of the Gone with the Wind linkage. I think this name may be a little trendy but it will withhold the test of time
[name]Finley[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t care for this name on a girl. On a boy it is cute.

Also liking (but not as much as above):
[name]Adley[/name]- NMS
[name]Camden[/name]- It is okay
[name]London[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t like this place name too much, but not as bad as the spelling londyn.
[name]Ashton[/name]- For a girl? Too masculine for me
Aubryn- It is okay, but I like [name]Aubrey[/name] more
[name]Emmett[/name]- Same as [name]Ashton[/name]
Audyn- NMS

My favorite of your choices: [name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] (Tie breaker)

Boys:
[name]Everett[/name]- Nice, strong name
[name]Emmett[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t like the Twilight associations and the grandfather feel to it
[name]Sawyer[/name]- NMS
[name]Weston[/name]- It is okay, I like [name]Wesley[/name] more though.

Also liking (but not as much as above):
[name]River[/name]- I agree with your husband, it is too out there for me
[name]Pierce[/name]- I like this a lot
[name]Austen[/name]- I like this one as well, it reminds me of [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name]
[name]Bridger[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t like at all

Favorites of the boys: [name]Pierce[/name], [name]Everett[/name] and [name]Austen[/name] in that order

Congratulations on expecting!

Girls:
[name]Harlow[/name] - I like it, but not as much as I like [name]Harper[/name], and I know [name]Harper[/name] is considerably more popular but this is a case where I honestly don’t care
[name]Hazel[/name] - I love [name]Hazel[/name], I think it is gorgeous and beautiful and just generally a great name
[name]Harper[/name] - I love [name]Harper[/name], it is on my current favourite list, its a bit different, and while completely popular (I class top 50 as completely popular) I wouldn’t let that deter you since it is such a great name
[name]Olive[/name] - I have loved this name for a very long time, I think it has the same classic beauty as [name]Hazel[/name] and is annoyingly (for me) gaining in popularity
[name]Scarlett[/name] - I don’t like [name]Scarlett[/name], to me it sounds too prissy and posh and I don’t like the ‘Scar’ part. I much prefer [name]Ruby[/name], or [name]Garnet[/name] even, if its the colour connotations you like.
[name]Hazel[/name] - I’m not sure why this is down twice…
[name]Finley[/name] - Personally, [name]Finley[/name] sounds too masculine, and many people say that about my name and I hate it, so perhaps I’m being hypocritical, but its way too masculine for my taste, I like the ‘[name]Finn[/name]’ nickname, but on boys. And as a nickname for [name]Finnian[/name].

Also liking (but not as much as above): [name]Adley[/name]- I don’t like this at all, [name]Camden[/name]- To me this is more of a boys name, [name]London[/name]- I like this even less than [name]Adley[/name], [name]Ashton[/name]- I immediately think of [name]Ashton[/name] Kutcher so again, boys name, Aubryn- I don’t like it when names have what I think of as ‘unnecessary Y’s’ in them, and I don’t really like this anyway, its too much like the whole [name]Aubrey[/name], [name]Autumn[/name] style, [name]Emmett[/name] - I love [name]Emmett[/name] as a boys name, just not for girls, Audyn - Again its too much like [name]Aubrey[/name] and [name]Autumn[/name] and it has a y in it, and for some strange reason I don’t like Y’s

Boys:
[name]Everett[/name] - I think this is adorable, and I can see it as a name that would age well, also I love the nn [name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name] - While it is still adorable, I prefer [name]Everett[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name] - This is one of my favourite boys names, I think it is a strong male name and would age wonderfully
[name]Weston[/name] - I’m not really a fan on this name, or the nn [name]West[/name], it’s just not really my style

Also liking (but not as much as above): [name]River[/name] (my husband thinks this is too “out there”)- [name]River[/name] is cute, maybe use it as a middle name as a compromise?, [name]Pierce[/name]- I prefer the spelling [name]Piers[/name], but it’s still cute, [name]Austen[/name] - I prefer the spelling [name]Austin[/name], and then I’m still not crazy about it, [name]Bridger[/name] - I don’t really like this, but it’s not really my style.

[name]Harlow[/name] - feel this is going to surge in popularity, unfortunately.
[name]Hazel[/name] - this is a sweet universal name that suits a baby girl all the way upto an elegant lady!
[name]Harper[/name] - another name that 's on its way up, not as nice as [name]Harlow[/name] [name]IMO[/name]
[name]Olive[/name] - love this shame so much, it’s sweet with a bit of spunk.
[name]Scarlett[/name] - very chic and elegant. Nice literary reference Also.
[name]Finley[/name] - don’t care for this too much on a girl

Favourites from your lists:
[name]Olive[/name] and sawyer/[name]Austen[/name]

I really like the name [name]Hazel[/name]! The other names are nice but just not my style. Some other girls names you might like:

Thanks for all your help and input so far!

I forgot to add the name [name]Hadley[/name] to my girls list.

Girls:
[name]Harlow[/name] - love, but very popular
[name]Hazel[/name] - very popular
[name]Harper[/name] - love, but very popular
[name]Olive[/name] - not pretty to me
[name]Scarlett[/name] - very popular
[name]Hazel[/name] - very popular
[name]Finley[/name] - is a boys name

Boys:
[name]Everett[/name] - popular, but nice
[name]Emmett[/name] - blah
[name]Sawyer[/name] - this is all girl to me.
[name]Weston[/name] - love, this is the 3rd or 4th post this month

I’m due around the same time and have the same naming style as you

[name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Emmett[/name] on our list…so, of course, I [name]LOVE[/name] those ideas

I also really like [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name] (which you could use for a boy or girl…love it for either, I have friends and co-workers who have used it for both)
