I find the name [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] beautiful. But it’s not super easy to say, especially when you’re trying to quickly spit it out to a child. I also have a speech complication, so I can’t just learn to live with it unfortunately.
However, I’ve found an alternative in [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]. I have two issues however-
-
I would pronounce it or-[name_f]EL[/name_f]-ee-uh, and I don’t want others thinking I pronounce my daughter’s name wrong.
-
I think I prefer it as a middle, but I’m unsure about a first because I do tend to go for more modern and bohemian names, which seem to clash with [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] in the middle.
Thoughts?
i like it for a first or middle!

I like [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] a lot and think it works well for a fn or mn. If you want it pronounced a specific way and it’s going to annoy you if it’s not, then I would look at moving it to the mn position.
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]
I agree with the above that [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] goes well as a first or middle name!
If you struggle to say it how you want it to sound then I’d make it the middle name. Although eventually your daughter will be able to correct people herself too!
I agree with pp. I’d automatically say oh-[name_u]RAY[/name_u]-lee-a then oh-[name_f]REE[/name_f]-lee-a, so I’d put it as a middle. It’s one of my all time favorites names though
