Flora, Una, Petra, Alma, and…?

I tend to find that inspiration strikes when I’m not looking for it, so my usual approach is to give my list a break. I also know if I’m tired or stressed in general my creativity won’t be firing. I think it’s the sort of thing that naturally ebbs and flows, and you have the funk so you can enjoy the breakthrough.

One idea I’d suggest is putting your long list into a random list generator to make new connections between names. [name_m]Set[/name_m] the list to a small size of 3 [name_f][/name_f]- 5 names and let the generator do some of the work for you.

Another idea is to start with a name you like, go to the nameberry page and then choose the most interesting or unexpected name from the similar names section. Repeat on the next page and so on to explore new ideas. It works best with more unusual names, or names that you don’t typically see mentioned.

I’m drawn to [name_f]Nona[/name_f] and [name_f]Estée[/name_f] for your list as well as [name_f]Clair[/name_f] – this spelling is really catching my eye. I also thought I’d mentioned some names on your long list that have also been on my mind in recent months: [name_f]Veda[/name_f], [name_f]Magda[/name_f], [name_f]Hilda[/name_f], [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Nina[/name_f] and [name_f]Theda[/name_f]. I’ve also been thinking of [name_f]Zola[/name_f], [name_f]Moira[/name_f] and [name_f]Leta[/name_f] which might appeal.
