Florence Matilda?

We’ve had the combo [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] on our list for about 4 years. We [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it. But now [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is in the top 20 where we live, and we are going off the name. So does [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] work? We still love the name [name_f]Florence[/name_f] as much as ever, but I don’t think it flows as well as our previous combo.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is beautiful and flows really well!

[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is brilliant! I actually think it flows better than [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] flows beautifully well. I used to have it on my own list ages ago, and it was definitely my #1 name back then. I still have a soft spot for both [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], haha.

I think it flows perfectly, better than [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] by a hair. Very pretty names.

I love both names and both combos and think both have a great flow. And I love the nickname [name_f]Flora[/name_f] for [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

Oh I’m so relieved! I think because I have been saying it as [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] for so long, that it sounds strange to say it another way.

I actually prefer [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] over [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] so I definitely think it works. I also think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is great with [name_m]Walter[/name_m].

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it both ways!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Florence[/name_f], love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]… you can’t go wrong!

It flows well. I am not a fan of [name_f]Florence[/name_f], personally.

I agree!

I also think that [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Florence[/name_f] to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as a FN (especially after reading Dombey and [name_m]Son[/name_m]!) anyway, but reversing the names transforms the whole combo from pretty-but-not-striking into a really beautiful choice.

[name_f]EDIT[/name_f]: I was just thinking that [name_f]Florence[/name_f] & [name_m]Walter[/name_m] go together like a dream . . . and then remembered that in Dombey and [name_m]Son[/name_m] there’s two characters called [name_f]Florence[/name_f] & [name_m]Walter[/name_m] who are quite closely linked. I don’t think it’s a problem at all, just interesting!

I think [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is very pretty.

I adore [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. It’s beautiful, and the two names flow together.

I think its very pretty combo. I prefer the flow of [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

Thank you everyone!!

I’ve never read it, though I just looked up the book. I wonder if other people will notice it as well? Although I guess it doesn’t really matter. Everyone already thinks we must be Breaking Bad fans as we have a son named [name_m]Walter[/name_m] (which we aren’t). At least the literary association isn’t as bad! :stuck_out_tongue:
