[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are expecting our fourth and last baby in three months! We’ve decided on [name_f]Neve[/name_f], pronounced Neev, (Or more accurately I did because he’s useless at brainstorming names) but I can’t decide on a middle. I definitely want a flower middle to match our other three.

Our other children:
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f]
[name_f]Afton[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]

The two I’m thinking about are:
[name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
Is [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] too out there? Is the “v” in violet not working with [name_f]Neve[/name_f]? Please help! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband doesn’t care either way.

[name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] gets my vote. [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] doesn’t flow as well because the ‘v’ sounds kind of run into each other. I don’t think [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is too out there at all – it’s really popular around NB and would work very well, especially as a mn.

I agree with this, plus [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is a lot more fun! It’s more unusual, sure, but doesn’t strike me as particularly “out there”.

Similar botanical options which are a bit more mainstream, though still delightfully quirky, might be [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] or [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u].

[name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is one of those names that sounds amazing as a middle for anything. [name_f]Neve[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is lovely too, but the ‘v’ sound is a tad repetitive so it disrupts the flow.
By the way, I love your other children’s names, they sound lovely. I also love the floral pattern you have going, it’s so sweet!
