A few months ago I came across [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis, and [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] it as a partial name. However, I’m not terribly keen on [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] (well, I do love it; I just can’t ever see me with a son named [name_m]Ezra[/name_m]; it feels more like a MN), so I feel like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis would be a double middle. So that leaves me looking for a FN for it. Any ideas?
So far, my two favorites are [name_m]Linus[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis–I like the idea of [name_m]Linus[/name_m] because I’ve LOVED [name_m]Linus[/name_m] for years, and the combo honors my grandfather (as does any other “L” name combined with Borealis), but I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis in general a bit more. (It, unfortunately, doesn’t really honor my family at all, though, which all of my other combos do, in some way or another.) I just love the way [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis works together, though.
Oh wow, I’d never have thought of using Borealis as a name! [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis feels quite handsome and unexpected, with two solid and reliable names and then something out-there. I’m not really a fan of [name_m]Linus[/name_m] in general, and don’t like the repeated -us/-is ending sound.
Thanks, ladies! [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], and [name_m]Tarquin[/name_m] are my favorites (hahaha, I don’t know if I have the guts to use [name_m]Tarquin[/name_m], though, [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]. lol). I’m not the hugest [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] fan, anymore, but it would’ve been great to honor family! It sort of combines [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]. But that has me wondering about [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Borealis, which I sort of like, too! And [name_m]Jack[/name_m] I WOULD use up front.
I’m glad you suggested [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], because that could be an honor name, too! Or rather, the RE initials as opposed to the LB ones. That also makes me wonder about [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis, although both [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis and [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis aren’t really what I’d been going for in my [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] and [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] combos…
[name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis is definetely a very interesting middle name. I also like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] as middle name, and I think Borealis in the second middle name is stunning, I love when I see an unexpected name in that place!
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis is awesome, and also are [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], as people mentioned before.
Thanks, @undertherainbow! What lovely “LB” suggestions you gave! I think I like [name_m]Lars[/name_m] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] the best, although I can’t really see me with a little [name_m]Lars[/name_m]. I do like [name_m]Larson[/name_m] a lot, too, though, and I’m wondering about [name_m]Larson[/name_m] [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis? I also have been liking [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Borealis more, and am wondering about that in place of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis, maybe? Since I WOULD use [name_m]Jack[/name_m] up front easily…
Absolutely stunning!! I just think of the [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] borealis, and Borealis (“of the north”) is so unexpected as a name and yet totally works in my book.
I don’t understand though why you want to keep [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] in there if you’re not really fond of it?
I would just use Borealis with your favorite name… Although I’m a huge fan of two (or more) middle names.
Thank you! That’s most of the appeal, the aurora borealis. There is this children’s audio drama that I used to listen to (okay, still do, lol), and one of the families has all-B names, and the patriarch of the family is named Borealis. He’s this ornery little old man, which gives Borealis spunk, imo, but it also seems so gentle and peaceful, thanks to aurora borealis.
I am actually quite fond of [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], but I can’t see myself with an [name_m]Ezra[/name_m], which is why I’m looking for a FN for the double middle [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] Borealis, but I’m wondering if there is something better than [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] to pair with Borealis? I hadn’t really thought to pair it with my favorite name, though–I guess that’s still technically [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], and I rather like [name_m]Caleb[/name_m] Borealis! [name_m]Jack[/name_m] Borealis I’m still toying around with, too…
