I’ve really been crushing on [name_f]Luella[/name_f] lately, but I’m starting to think that it might be more of a MN contender for me. I love the nns [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] (and even just [name_u]Lou[/name_u]), but I’m not sure I love it enough to use it up front. So far, I’ve considered [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f], but I’m wondering if there’s anything better out there. If you had to pick a FN for [name_f]Luella[/name_f], what name would you pick? So far, I was thinking that short-and-sweet one-syllable names work best (I also like [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Luella[/name_f]), but I’m also thinking about maybe [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f], as I’m looking for a [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] combo, too. What sort of name do you think works best with [name_f]Luella[/name_f]?
I would definitely avoid a fn that contains the letter L anywhere…too tongue-twisty. [name_f]IMO[/name_f], one syllable names only work with [name_f]Luella[/name_f] if [name_f]Luella[/name_f] is the first, not middle. (Lack of flow)
I do think [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] is beautiful.
I think both classic names like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] it’s very elegant but to be honest my favourite names teamed with short spunky first names it’s just prettier and more put together; I think [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Luella[/name_f] are lovely.
