I’m trying to round out my top 3 for boys, but I keep getting stuck with the MN [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]. I’m testing out [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], but I don’t think it works for me.
@saintdollface I really like [name_m]Sean[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. @ccmrath I don’t know why I didn’t think of [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. It does work well together. @summs I love [name_m]Adam[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_m]Ivan[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] but I’m afraid the similar -ick sound at the ending of both might sound odd. @Kate4hisglory [name_m]Callum[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] sound great. @tfzolghadr I’m from the Mid-Atlantic region and that’s how we’ve always said the town here. I’m not sure how many other places use the 2 syllables though. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Ozias[/name_m], [name_m]Cassian[/name_m], [name_m]Killian[/name_m], and [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]. @adelina_sophia [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Otto[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Adam[/name_m], and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] (but worry about the latter’s popularity in my friend group). @boyandgirl [name_u]James[/name_u] works well too.
Then, you might know the area I’m talking about ([name_m]Frederick[/name_m], MD). It is interesting how you can live so close but the accents can be so different.
I find this very interesting because I’ve been looking for a great first name to go with [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] (2 syllables) for years! I think a one syllable classic sounds best with it, but that doesn’t leave very many options. I do like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] although it feels a little stuffy and dated. I had this same problem with [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] as well much to my dismay. So far I have come up with:
[name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]- our top choice for now
[name_m]Miles[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]- I think this is perfect, but DH doesn’t like it
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]- if you like alliteration
