Scholastica/Scholastique is one of my favourite middle names at the moment, I love the history and the uniqueness of it, I have a couple of personal connections as well. I second this completely - [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] Scholastica and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] Scholastica are gorgeous, with that really stunning blend of solemn Medieval tradition and sparkly-eyed wit and character.
I personally would stay away from a long first name (like [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]) with Scholastica. Scholastica needs to be paired with something simpler in order to do justice to all her weight and elegance.
For something a bit more understated and romantic, you might consider:

Scholastique reminds me too much of [name_m]French[/name_m] words like elastique, plastique for me to really be able to get my head around her, but I do love the more pared-down English form Scholace.
Nice to see another Scholastica lover! She’s one of my favorite guilty pleasures and one of the names that got me into names in the first place. I’m going to echo all the love for [name_f]Eve[/name_f] Scholastica; if I could have ever gotten my husband on board with Scholastica, that probably would have been the combo I pushed for.
