My husband really wants to use [name]Jason[/name] as a MN (his name), but I don’t know what sounds good with it. He really likes the name [name]Hunter[/name] as a FN, I am open to anything! Please help!
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Jason[/name] works OK. What kinds of names do you like? Something with one or three syllables might mix it up from 2 syllable [name]Jason[/name], although it depends on your surname, and also those names can be hard to find. 2-2 is hardly a bad rhythm. I would avoid most names ending with -n so it’s not to rhymey. What about:
[name]Alexander[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Baxter[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Beckett[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Carter[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Connor[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Conrad[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Cooper[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Dexter[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Elliott[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Emmett[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Everett[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Forrest[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Foster[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Heath[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Henry[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Hugh[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Max[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Tucker[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Vance[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Vincent[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
To me, all have some sort of sound or feeling overlap with [name]Hunter[/name], but they go lots of different directions. I’m sure there are tons more. What do you like?
Actually I really like the name [name]Max[/name]. And [name]Baxter[/name] is pretty cool, I guess I like x’s. My favorite name is [name]Jackson[/name] (wish it wasn’t so popular), but that doesn’t go at all!
If you love “x” names you should check out the “X factor list” on nameberry and see if something jumps out at you. (See link below).
[name]Eoin[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (I like the repeating o sound)
[name]Henry[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (I know Jesba suggested it too)
I seem to be having a hard time seeing [name]Jason[/name] as a mn since it’s a favorite for a fn. But for “x” names I like [name]Felix[/name] and [name]Maddox[/name] as well - don’t think they really fit though.
X is a fun letter : D. [name]Jackson[/name] is nice (and has the x sound), could your husband consider it honoring him since it starts and ends with [name]Jason[/name] (just adding a ck? in the middle) : D. [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Jason[/name] is pretty a much a no-go, yeah, unless you both truly love it enough - it’s certainly memorable! And JJ would be cute. That’s another thing with a J middle, you can have a lot of initial nns if you like that. [name]Jackson[/name] [name]Jay[/name], maybe?
If you have another son, maybe [name]Jackson[/name] then?
Here are a few more x options
[name]Axel[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Dax[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (rare name, but I went to HS with someone named this, kinda cool)
[name]Huxley[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Lennox[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Knox[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (pretty Brangelina, but I mean, it’s a nice name)
[name]Maddox[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (see above)
[name]Paxton[/name] [name]Jason[/name] (not ideal with the -ns, but it’s also not bad)
[name]Pollux[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Rex[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name] [name]Jason[/name]
[name]Axel[/name] shares the uber-masculinity of [name]Hunter[/name].
[name]Huxley[/name] has some sound overlap with [name]Hunter[/name], and is surnameish.
[name]Lennox[/name], [name]Knox[/name], [name]Maddox[/name], and [name]Paxton[/name] are sur-name-ish
[name]Xavier[/name] shares the -er name.
If you are thinking of [name]Jackson[/name] for a future boy, might be good to go with something a little bit familiar - [name]Max[/name] and [name]Xavier[/name] stand out.
Although, since [name]Jackson[/name] is a surname, any of those work (except [name]Paxton[/name], which is too rhymey with [name]Jackson[/name]).
Thanks for all the help so far!! There have been a lot of suggestions that I will need to talk with the hubby about!
