My friend had a baby last week, and named her [name]Everly[/name] but hasn’t given her a middle name yet. She has now chosen the middle names but she doesnt know which way round to have them! It’s going to be her last child (and only girl.) so she wants to honor both Grandmothers in the name, who are called [name]Theodora[/name] & [name]Nim[/name] ([name]Nim[/name] is a nickname for something but I’m not sure.) Her last name is 2 syllables and the 2nd syllable is -[name]Coy[/name].
So she asked me which I preferred the other day and she just confessed that she still hasnt decided yet, as she isnt really concerned about it as it’s just her middle names, but she wants it made official. I told her I’d make a thread on here so here I am She’s excited to hear your opinions.
So which one do you prefer?
[name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name]
or
[name]Everly[/name] [name]Nim[/name] [name]Theodora[/name]?
I told her that I thought [name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name] sounded better imo but I thought Id see what you all think then I’ll link her too this thread! She’ll appreciate it
PS - Not sure if it makes any difference but her older sons name is [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Amadeus[/name] [name]Jem[/name] (both middles are family names)
[name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name]'s flow is certainly better than the other choice. It’s a pretty combo, too. And [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Amadeus[/name] [name]Jem[/name]? Swoon. She has good name taste!
I actually prefer [name]Everly[/name] [name]Nim[/name] [name]Theodora[/name]. With the emphasis of [name]Theodora[/name] not on the first syllable, I don’t mind the more abrupt [name]Nim[/name] in the middle (I have a combo of my own that does this–[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Wren[/name] [name]Camille[/name]), and the lee-thee part of [name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] is quite a lispy tongue-twister for me! I like the look of [name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name] more, and I think [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name] sounds better than [name]Nim[/name] [name]Theodora[/name], but all together, I think [name]Everly[/name] [name]Nim[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] is slightly better.
Thanks for all of the replies! My friend says thank you as well, she enjoyed reading your opinions! She has decided on [name]Everly[/name] [name]Theodora[/name] [name]Nim[/name]!
