Have you ever tried to force yourself to love a name? I’m having such a hard time with the name [name_f]Opal[/name_f]. [name_f]Opal[/name_f] is my favorite gemstone, and I want to love it as a name but I just can’t. It reminds me of an old lady and I can’t get the imagery of little old Granny [name_f]Opal[/name_f] crocheting in her rocker out of my head 
I thought maybe pairing it with a light/younger sounding middle would help, but I can’t think of anything that flows well.

I’ve been there - my advice is if you really want to love it, then spend as little energy on it as possible. If the name is right for you, you’ll find your opinion on it has changed. If you need a cute middle for it to work, then it’s okay to accept that it’s just not for you.

I’m trying it with [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] but i can’t seem to do it. I did it with [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] by playing about with different combos but I can’t seem to manage it with [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Opal[/name_f], but it doesn’t mean you have to. Choose a name you love as a name!
Yes, with [name_f]Lois[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I want to love them but can’t.
