Foster..? Help please!

I love the name [name]Foster[/name] for a boy.
Is it too old and dated to use?
[name]Do[/name] you think of [name]Foster[/name] care when you think of the name…?

My girls name is [name]Nora[/name].
[name]Do[/name] [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Foster[/name] go well together?

Overall what are your thoughts on [name]Foster[/name]?

:slight_smile: Thanks!

I like the name [name]Foster[/name] but I would go for a more classic name to go with [name]Nora[/name];

Like;

[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Leo[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
[name]William[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name]

I would use [name]Foster[/name] as a mn.

My son just played soccer against a [name]Foster[/name]; I spent the whole game adoring the name as he was being cheered on by his family. And I don’t see any problem with [name]Nora[/name] & [name]Foster[/name] as a sib set.

I think [name]Nora[/name] and [name]Foster[/name] are very different stylistically while also being way too close in sound - for both reasons, I don’t think this is an ideal sibset.

My other concerns about foster are that, yes, it does remind me of foster care, and also that its sort of an odd blend of word name and surname-as first name, overlapping two trends that are likely to leave a name feeling dated in the future and therefore making it feel sort of like a characateur of an early 21st century boy name.

I would go for something more timeless and classic (like [name]Nora[/name] :slight_smile: )
