1. I love and adore the name [name]Penelope[/name]. I think it’s a great, classic name that will age well. I also love the range of nickname options; [name]Penny[/name], [name]Penn[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Nell[/name], etc.

2. I picture a girl with reddish-brown hair or light brown hair. I see [name]Penelope[/name] as an adventurous girl, outgoing, smart, kind, and someone who is in the school plays. Quirky and fun.

I second everything RachelMarie said. [name]Penelope[/name] is one of my favorites! [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name] is such a great name that it doesn’t even sound real, it’s something an author would pick for a fabulous character. I’d pick something vintage with 1-2 syllables in the middle. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Alice[/name] was a great suggestion. I think my favorite middle name for [name]Penelope[/name] is [name]Jane[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Hawthorne[/name]. P.J. is favorite initial name!

last name [name]Hawthorne[/name] is so gorgeous, as I said before! [name]Penelope[/name] is lovely, it sounds very English with [name]Hawthorne[/name]. By that, I mean that it sounds like a name the middle-upper classes would give their daughters in the UK. A great, often used nickname for [name]Penelope[/name] in [name]England[/name] is [name]Pippa[/name].

I think of [name]Penelope[/name] as cute and quircky! She is brave and intelligent, and has a really fun middle name like [name]Remi[/name] (but obviously not because of ending sounds). I can see her with her sister [name]Quinn[/name] (who’s really [name]Quintessa[/name]) and her brother [name]Wim[/name] (who’s actually [name]William[/name]).

I love this name unbearably, with one catch. I’ll always think of Thunderbirds, and that’s far from a bad association, but I sometimes wish I could break free of it. Not that that would be enough to stop me from using it; its rising popularity would do that anyway.

It’s pretty, cute, dignified-sounding and will age well. My new taste seems to be for girls’ names that are really feminine-sounding without A endings, and this is an old favorite of mine that fits right in.

If I used [name]Penelope[/name] for a future daughter, I would use [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Alice[/name] as I love this combination and have a sister called [name]Alice[/name].
