And I can’t get it out of my head! I’ve been trying to take a “break” from names for a while, but I can’t stop thinking about it. The name is [name]Emeline[/name].
It’s not like it’s new to me–about 3 years ago, [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] was my favorite girls’ name–but with one “M” it just looks so much fresher to me. [name]Do[/name] you think it’d be a hassle to deal with just one “M”? WDYT of the spelling? For what it’s worth, I say it like [name]Emma[/name]-leen.
I just don’t love [name]Emmeline[/name] like I used to, so I would probably use [name]Emeline[/name] as a MN (especially since I have a second cousin I see often enough named [name]Emma[/name]). I’ve been tossing around [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emeline[/name], [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Emeline[/name], and [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Emeline[/name]…
I think it is beautiful!! I think the one m would not make that much of a difference. The name seems pretty uncommon with any spelling so I doubt people would have a problem with it. I am warming up to the idea of the [name]Emma[/name]-leen pronunciation but I don’t know how often it would be pronounced correctly in US. I think a lot would say [name]Emma[/name]-line but I am not sure about your area… I prefer it as a FN but it could be a beautiful MN as well. I like all your possible combos, but I really like [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Emeline[/name]!
haha, thanks! I really love it, too, and I think that’s my favorite. I’ve been tied to my other [name]Violet[/name] combo ([name]Violet[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Claire[/name]) for so long, though… I’m not sure I could give it up! I’d probably do [name]Violet[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] [name]Kate[/name].
@dillonsfan01 - lol, yes, I really do need a break from names! My OCD is taking over, haha, and looking at names is starting to not even be that enjoyable anymore. So I’m trying to hold back, haha, but I just couldn’t get [name]Emeline[/name] out of my head!
I prefer [name]Emmeline[/name] but both are nice. I love when it’s pronounced like em-uh-lyn. I like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] and [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Emeline[/name].
Thanks, ladies! Any other ideas for a FN for [name]Emeline[/name]? I really like [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] still, but I’m curious if there’s anything else out there I really like. I was thinking of maybe [name]Serena[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Emeline[/name], but [name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] repeats a lot of similar sounds.
[name]Emeline[/name] is lovely. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Emeline[/name] is especially lovely. I personally prefer the [name]Emmeline[/name] spelling, but I think that’s just because I’m more used to it. I love [name]Emelina[/name] as well, with the one M.
Ohh, I do like [name]Emelina[/name] too! I’ve seen [name]Emmalina[/name] and Emmelina, but I’ve only ever really liked the [name]Emelina[/name] spelling for it. Still, I can’t quite imagine using it as a FN, so I’d probably just keep [name]Emeline[/name]. I do like both, though!
I really like the name [name]Emmeline[/name]! I like it spelled with two M’s and the way I have heard it pronounced where I live is [name]Emma[/name]-line. I think it makes a beautiful first name! but all of your combos are pretty. And I agree, you don’t need to take a break from names : )
