Frances Carin

I am thinking when I have kids I would like to name a girl after my grandmother [name]Frances[/name] [name]Madge[/name] Cunningham and my mom [name]Nina[/name] [name]Carin[/name] [name]Brock[/name],
I am thinking
[name]Frances[/name] [name]Carin[/name] pronounced [name]Corrine[/name]

Oh I love [name]Frances[/name]! It’s one of those names that I used to absolutely abhor, but over time I have really warmed up to it. It’s not a name I personally plan to use, but I’d like to see it on a child. Not a fan of [name]Carin[/name] due to its unclear pronunciation, but since it is a family name, and tucked in the middle, I see no reason not to use it.

I think it has a lovely sound, and it is wonderful to honor family.

I have to say, that while I do enjoy seeing names honoring family members, I’m not too keen on either [name]Frances[/name] or [name]Carin[/name] myself. That said though, [name]Frances[/name] is definitely a good, decent name in general, and not at all terrible - just not something I myself like too much.

Have you considered [name]Francesca[/name]? Grandma’s [name]Frances[/name], plus the [name]Ca[/name]- of Mum’s [name]Carin[/name], all bundled up into one good, strong and a little spunkier name. That would leave you room for a name outside of a namesake, and you could use [name]Francesca[/name] as first or middle depending on your choice and the flow.
