Deciding on a middle for [name_f]Frances[/name_f] ([name_u]Frankie[/name_u]). [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is an honor name that I had planned on using but I think it may be too masculine with fn [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. Her sisters have very feminine names and nature/color middles. I am thinking about
Not a huge fan of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], but honor names are always really sweet tributes so I’m not sure it matters how it sounds. Of your list, I like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Mauve[/name_f] the most. I know you’re looking for a color name but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. Other suggestions:
I like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f], but I see your point especially with the nn [name_u]Frankie[/name_u]. I like many of the suggestions above. You could also use [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] ([name_f]Aurora[/name_f] means dawn)-- that’s a lovely name!
I think [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is great. I’m never called by my first and middle name, so I don’t think you’ll hear “[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]” often unless you decide to call her both. I do like more feminine middle names with [name_f]Frances[/name_f] because it is a gender neutral name.
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] is absolutely perfect. [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is nice, but in my opinion, Dawn and Frances don’t match stylistically.
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Mauve[/name_f] is so lovely! I like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] too. They both feel so homely, like morning dew and denim. [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] is also sweet but it feels a bit try-hard or trendy.
One thing I will say is [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] reminds me an awful lot of [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] [name_m]French[/name_m] the comedian, and could be seen as dated by some - which is why I think [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Mauve[/name_f] is a lovely medium between dated/hip.
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f] is lovely, those are two of my favorite names and I think they make a great pair. If you’re looking for something more feminine, I agree with someone earlier that suggested [name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] because of it’s meaning.
