I’m really struggling to make these fit! [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] are both names in my family tree so I’d love to love them, but so far they’re just…not right?
I hate the nicknames [name_u]Fran[/name_u] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u], so if there’s any variants with better nicknames?
What other varients of [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] could fit?
How about [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] “Cheska” or “[name_f]Chessie[/name_f]”?
Variants of [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] which feel like they’d fit with your UC: [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eleonora[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f], [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]?
I second [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and all of the [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] variants @katinka mentioned.
Also [name_f]Francine[/name_f] “[name_f]Francie[/name_f]”
@katinka You beat me to suggesting [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]
Some other variantions of [name_f]Frances[/name_f] are [name_f]Francisca[/name_f], Francoise, [name_f]Francine[/name_f], [name_f]Francina[/name_f], [name_f]Franca[/name_f] and [name_f]Fanya[/name_f].
Variations of [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] are [name_f]Helena[/name_f] and [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. Maybe you could use something like [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Francine[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] to honor both of the family members?
Thank you! I [name_u]Love[/name_u] so many of those [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] variations. Might have [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]/Eleni as a first name instead
Francesca nn [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Chessie[/name_f]? [name_f]Francine[/name_f] nn [name_f]Nina[/name_f]?
Ellen -[name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Helen[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Elora[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]
This is a real stretch, but perhaps [name_f]Cece[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Frances[/name_f]? Some names like [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] could [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Elaine[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], and [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
I love the idea of [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] “Fresca”! [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Leonore[/name_f], [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], [name_f]Elene[/name_f], [name_f]Elena[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] could all work.
Francesca [name_f]Leonore[/name_f]
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] [name_f]Elene[/name_f]
Oh I haven’t thought of [name_f]Essie[/name_f] or [name_f]Nina[/name_f], thank you. And I love [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Cece[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Francine[/name_f]/Francina!
Me too, thats what I’m working with at the minute, [name_f]Cece[/name_f] for [name_f]Frances[/name_f]. I just don’t feel like [name_f]Frances[/name_f] works, might try [name_f]Francine[/name_f] instead, or put one of the [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] names as a first
I’ve heard [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Frances[/name_f] and it could honor it as well.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] or [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]?
Could you combine the letters of [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] and [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
Elena
Ranelle
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u]
Frenchie
[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
Franceline would be pretty. it honors both names and you could have a different mn.
And I love the nn [name_f]Francie[/name_f] (soft C sound)
