Besides the TV show what do you think of this name? I like it for some strange reason:)
Isn’t the tv show [name]Frasier[/name]? They prn it a little differently - like Fray-jher instead of Fray-zer…Unless there’s a tv show that I don’t know about which is also very likely!
I like the name [name]Fraser[/name]. It reminds me of [name]Jamie[/name] [name]Fraser[/name] in the [name]Cross[/name] Stitch series (Outlander if you’re in [name]America[/name]) and I always associate it with a strong young man.
I’ve only ever met a couple of Frasers in my life. I think it’s ready for a comeback
Well, it reminds me of [name]Frazer[/name] [name]Hines[/name], an actor who was in [name]Doctor[/name] Who way back in the 1960s, but that is probably not a common association! I think it’s a lovely name, though, and this spelling (as opposed to Fraiser) takes away some of the automatic sit-com associations. Like the pp I also pronounce it slightly differently.
I love this name! It’s on my list too and even a bad association with a horrible uni lecturer hasn’t put me off!
I prefer the [name]Fraser[/name] spelling also because it is the more traditional spelling and takes the name away from the sitcom association a little. I thought I pronounced both [name]Frasier[/name] and [name]Fraser[/name] the same, but now that I’ve seen both pronunciations written down, I can’t “remember” which one I naturally say!! [name]How[/name] odd :?
Either way I like both pronunciations and definitely think this name is deserving of a revival!
I like the name [name]Fraser[/name]. Although, I do prefer it for a dog/cat rather than a person. I met a girl named [name]Fraser[/name] a couple weeks ago, actually. I’m pretty sure it was her mom’s maiden name or a family name somehow. But anyone named this will constantly be associated with the TV series [name]Frasier[/name]. When I hear it, that’s pretty much all I think about. If the show [name]Frasier[/name] has never been around then I would probably love the name!
